bon voyage

hum to the music of 'leaving on a jetplane' by john denver......
All my bags are packed
I'm ready to go
...but i won't be hopping onto a jet lah....me going on a cruuuuuissssseeee.............yeah....really excited because it is my first time on one. my friend has been telling me i am going to enjoy myself. there are a lot of activities going round on the deck. sunset and the stars at night are not to be missed! well, i just want to keep my fingers crossed now and hope that weather permits all these to go without a hitch. the weather has not been promising these few days. but a search on the malaysia meteorology station states otherwise.
so i will be out at sea from 27 nov till 2 dec. take a cruise round the ship if u like. i think it is quite a nice one. a friend experienced seasick in his entire journey from kuantan to sarawak before. gulp...that was horrifying i am sure.
ok...escape going on her first escapade since the creation of this blog. photos will come as soon as the liner docks.

sunday at k selangor

ok..these photos are long overdue. due to the lagging computer, i can only upload my photos from the phone to another computer. phone canggih, but pc software ancient (win 98).
not a bad place for an idylic sunday. good and cheap seafood...hehe..no photos of food because all gobbled up as soon as put on the table. friendly 'locals' and nice view from bkt melawati.

one of the more famous prawn crackers sold here...yummy...good snacks for the tv

river view from the riverview restaurant ;)..that is the name of the restaurant ok

view from the top of the hill

your friendly locals coming out in troops to greet you especially if you have offerings

a common scene here...the evolution of man. from simian to sapiens minus the jersey please.

a fixation for rainbow

took these photos in 2 days...from the car using my cybershot ;)... different journeys. a rainbow always lights up a day. i still think of the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow whenever i see one. guess the myth stays on despite the age catching up. i love colours....let your life be infused with colours and i am sure you will be a happier person.

home sweet flowers

whenever i see these flowers wherever i go, i will think of home. there flowers are associated with home. our house's pride...when all the flowers are in full bloom like now la. ;)
the ground outside is strewn with yellow petals now. it feels like autumn under the tree or spring because all the leaves are in light green.
as for cars parked under the tree...u know what will happen to them.
aaahh.....a sight for sore eyes.
p/s: anyone knows the name of the tree? still ??? to me

a blog is so dull without any photos...who will bother to continue reading
seeing only words?? sigh..it is a real letdown and it has chased people away too
because of it.

time to say goodbye

you are leaving school soon! congratulations class of 2006!!!
thanks for the memories, tears and laughter.

isn't it strange what farewell can do to everyone? the most hardcore, toughest and coolest guy can just let tears flow freely. those who have not greeted you for a few months and showed u their angry faces suddenly want to take photos with u (in more than one pose). why am i complaining? let's forgive and let's live!! will miss u guys!

*thanks 5 R for the shirt...i am wearing it already!

gift of the gab 2

it is so irritating to see some flaunt their skills and getting all the admiration! these are those who can yap and yap and have people eating out of their hands! they did not get their work done but get all the talk out. quiet, hardworking bees who do not make a buzz when they try to give a constructive suggestion are totally ignored (read: swatted aside).
those are empty vessels (tin kosong) and they are heard and seen. how unfair! i guess i can settle into oblivion and wait to be discovered by some archaelogists.

gift of the gab

i am really envious of people who can speak their minds out without getting all tongue-tied in the public. this is really not my cup of tea. words just will not come out and there will that moment of uneasy silence waiting for someone to start the ball rolling.even if words do come out, the wrong thing will be uttered and i will feel so foolish and silly. wish i was an ostrich there and then and there was a hole in front for me to stick my head into.
maybe i feel intimidated and inconfident. sometimes u know that something, but when it comes out from your mouth, it turned into something else. i am just not trained to speak my mind out unless it is rehearsed.

'silence is golden'...how true this is. might just as well remain mysterious with a shut mouth and pretend to be shy (can u really pretend?)...ok and be shy [;)]. after all, the mysterious aura might just make moi more appealing.

catching up with the joneses

A meeting of the Joneses (everyone with the surname Jones) set a new world record. i think they were about 2000 of them. cannot really remember the real figure. it was published in the star yesterday. it is so easy to set the world record for this one.
just get a chinese clan with the same surname (lee, lim, tan, ong, wong, etc) to gather at one place, i am sure the number will definitely surpass and create a world record. but of course it will need co-operation and money from those who are interested to participate. but if it is held in china, even a gathering of solely chinese with the same surname will quickly set a few records. who needs joneses.

Fruit of the angels

while biting into a piece of halfripe papaya yesterday, i began to think of the differences in nutrients value between those ripe, unripe and semi-ripe papayas. are there any differences? i know different people have different preferences for biting into this fruit and some absolutely abhor the fruit (because of its texture and smell!).
so i bring my quest to the internet to find more about this. why am i not surprised that there are so many good things written about it. it has even been called the 'Fruit of the Angels' by Christopher Columbus.
and yes, eating half-ripe papaya seems to be the better choice because of the rich content of papain (a digestive enzyme, which is used like bromelain, a similar enzyme found in pineapple, to treat sports injuries, other causes of trauma, and allergies) found. there are tonnes of others benefits of eating this relatively cheap fruit found abundantly in our country.some examples are protection against heart diseases, promotes digestive health, anti-inflammatory effects, immune support and the list goes on. no wonder dad brings one home everyday and eats half of it before anyone else. but i better tell him that it is more beneficial to dig into those semi-ripe ones instead of those ripe ones.
for more information you can click here. this page will answer all your enquiries about the fruit.
