introducing ubud green resort

let today's post starts with an introduction to the resort i am staying in.
the name is ubud green and it is in ubud of course, but not central ubud. the driver had some minor problem locating the place on the day we checked-in.

it is quiet this area, i like it. i found it from agoda.com but some of the photos were kinda misleading from those websites advertising the resort. i thought it would be smack in the midst of paddy fields and i could look out into the field once i look out of the windows. not quite.

this is the outside of the resort.

the lobby. wood and nature seem to be the theme here.

the dining area one storey above the lobby.....where we had our breakfast this morning. included in the package i got.

more sitting area and observation deck above the dining level. this place i like. such serene view. i might go there tomorrow morning with a book before check-out since there is no plan tomorrow morning. i can gaze at the view for hours and not get bored of it.

the thatched roof of the highest level from outside my villa.

bread basket.....rasberry jam, peanut butter and butter.

i had american breakfast. filling.

a prayer paraphernalia seen outside many main doors as they just had a major prayer ceremony at the beginning of this month i heard.

let's go to our villa now.
it is a double-storey duplex.
the right one is the door to our unit.

bamboo lined path to the bedroom and bathroom on the ground floor.
unfortunately, there is only one bathroom and it is downstairs. so those who stayed on the first floor has to go down to go to the toilet and bathroom. gosh....soo soo soo inconvenient. i hate this arrangement. yup, i am upstairs.

the bedroom downstairs. they have a fruit basket but no kettle and cups and stuff here. those are upstairs. so if i want to boil water, i still have to come down to get water.....hmmm.....

the bathroom...there is alo a shower hidden on the left. nothing to complain about. they give us toothbrushes, and two tubes of toothpaste as well.

the stairs leading upstaris.

nice chair huh.....

and the view that i will get if i choose to lie on the chair. at night, it is all dark outside. i am so worried that i would miss a step and fall down the stairs while going down to go to the toilet. aaah!! so inconvenient.

our beds....sorry it is dim......these are the sort of lights they have in the room. no white lights.

the cupboard, tv and coffee area.

i did not really get sound sleep yesterday. the air-cond took some time to be adjusted and it was hot! the air-cond even stopped in the middle of the night. tonight, i am sure it won't happen again. i have adjusted everything that was wrong last night.
fingers crossed.

a praying altar found in all hindu homes here on this island...this one here is after our room.

the end of my resort write up.
