shopping in china tours

8 days, 7 nights, 4 hotels, 21 members, 1 domestic flight and 1 province. the trip to yunnan province in china covering 3 cities- kunming, da li and li jiang is finally over.

i am rejuvenated from all the fresh air i inhaled and the glorious natural wonders seen in the eternal spring cities. and not to mention 'cleansed' internally from my vomit and purging as soon as i reached home.

ok this time around, i am going to update the posts according to themes. let me get rid of the annoying theme of shopping in china with tour groups. i hate them but one can't avoid them in china. you are brought to pre-selected destinations promoting chinese goods and you are caged in a room to listen to them promoting their products.

so here are the places i went to:

silk shop selling silk blankets, duvet and pillow cases. our group was the first that arrived at the shop that morning and we got more discount when we compared with the second group. the second group was also a malaysian group and some of the tour members were from bidor as well. the designs are much more modern and the products more user-friendly this time around.

kun ming flower market. ok one can wander around here but there are so many salesladies and it is like walking in a maze. and before reaching the flower section, you have to pass rows and rows of local edible products like coffee, biscuits and sweets. there are also medicine and decorative products. dizzy. psst....i was not supposed to take photos in the market.

bao shu tang. you get a complimentary foot massage and feet soaked in herbal broth while the salesperson demonstrates the products they sell. the company is famous for its cream to treat scalding and plaster for sore muscle pains. almost everyone in the group bought something...me too.
chinese medicine wholesale market. it is quite an eye-opening experience here learning about all sorts of medicine they have. i finally get to see saffron flowers and learn some of its benefits. well, there is no one to hassle you here....this is one place where the local tour guide does not get commission i think.

pu er tea. it is really cheap here but i din get any since we have a few pieces of old tea at home. am going to make good use of the tea and use the tips learnt from the session here. try this tea...i personally think it is better than green tea and this tea also won't make you lose any sleep. in fact, you will sleep even better at night.

street peddlars everywhere selling their tribes' wares.

stones anyone??? da li stones are famous for their natural lines and colours.

natural spirulina. cheap for those who are already taking it.

well, there are many other places to shop of course besides these designated ones. the quiant stalls and shops at the ancient towns and those in the shopping area of kunming are paradise for shoppers. those big malls in kun ming do have plethora of international brands and their varieties are definitely more than what we have here in malaysia. if only their sales and import taxes are not that high.

so in the end...here are what i got:

silk blanket and pillow cases. kekeke....this is definitely a splurge but it is really worth it because it is oh so luxurious and the blanket feels like second skin on you. trust me...i am not exaggerating.
small notebooks as souvenirs.
herbal pack to soak the feet from bao shu tang. for mom and my feet since we have problems with our heels. hope it soothes the pain. many (not the sales persons of course) sang praises for the product so i gave it a try.

li ning badminton racket for someone since it is definitely cheaper there.

some dong guai, sweets, beef jerky, pastry and bai shou wu.

i also got myself a cool nike hoodie from their factory outlet store within the nike store itself in kunming.

ok that is all. will be busy for the next few days...so might not have time to post. the next post should be on food. you will definitely go hungry or nauseous seeing them depending on your appetite.

home and puked.

i puked.

such a revolting action but it brings so much comfort to the bloated tummy which had just landed in klia 8 hours ago.

2a.m. yes that was when i puked due to indigestion from yesterday's morning breakfast and the meal in the plane.
how do i know? i heard the clock downstairs cuckooed twice as i was in the midst of regurgitating my breakfast, lunch and dinner onto the floor at the entrance of the bedroom. ==
i smelt the butter from the bread i had for breakfast and i saw the mushroom and pieces of chicken i had later. urrgghh....

vomitting was fast. it was the cleaning-up act that really kills you. i took 30 mins to clean up the mess on the floor. mom only came out from her bedroom after i had finished everything.

well, i am going back to sleep now. have rubbed more oil onto the tummy but i don't think i have anymore vomitting to do. i should sleep well since i did not get enough sleep yesterday.

will leave you with my favourite photo from my trip to yunnan province in china.

how i wish there is such river behind my house. this is taken at the foot of jade dragon snow mountain in li jiang and which was one of the destinations of amazing race season 18. it was so surreal seeing the sites where the teams had to perform their detours.

fast food and airport

as much as i want to avoid fast food, it is just so hard to do it when you are in the airport.

why is airport always associated with fast food??

i was picked up in tm at 4.30a.m. this morning and we arrived at klia before 6.30a.m.
the food court was not opened...and my mind was not thinking of any laksa soup or other breakfast. i was thinking of roti canai actually....
but in the end, it was still mcdonalds breakfast and a cup of coffee which i consumed.

everything was gone. i was hungry.

and this will be the flight i am boarding 30 mins later. my seat is 11d. not bad...i like it. some got row 29. i guess that is the good thing when you are on your own and don't have to sit with your family members. or...sometimes it can end the other way and you will be right behind at the rear of the plane. ok....hope this won't happen to me on the way back.

there is still no new updates on grandpa. i have told my brother to text me of his progress. i think everything will be good. all izzz well. my brother did not go for his half-marathon this morning and stayed with grandpa instead. good grandson.

ok....time to stay off the notebook and get some rest first. i can feel a headache coming. i need my sleep. woke up at 3am this morning and did not really sleep well too.

see you all in a week's time.

bye ah ma. how is ah gong?

it is grandparents day today....everything to do with them.

first, we celebrated the 49th day of grandma's passing by having some prayers led by a buddhist master specially invited to the house and at the memorial park in rawang.

in buddhism, i think the 49th day signifies the final passing of the deceased from this world.

in the days before the 49th day came, we still diligently served grandma her meals on her altar and prepared water in a basin with a small towel for her to 'clean' herself every day.

this was the place. this morning she had fruits, beverage and some apam which aunt made. aunt was in the kitchen yesterday preparing steamed buns and apams for the prayer session today.

can you see that yellow thing next to grandma's photo? is that called a tablet??

the buddhist master rewriting the names of ancestors on the piece of red paper which wsa framed....adding grandma's in the list.

so at the end of the prayer session where we also joined in, holding a joss stick each and bowing according to instructions, grandma no longer has her own altar on the white table, she has now joined the rest of the ancestors on the usual prayer altar.
see the orange plastic bag? all grandma's prayer stuff are packed and taken away.

the yellow tablet, was burnt together with some prayer papers.

then we headed to rawang where uncle, aunt and cousin came too.

grandma's new 'home'.

we also did a simple prayer ceremony here. again led by the buddhist master and each of us holding a joss stick. but this time it was much hotter with the sun hot behind our backs.....and it was a longer ceremony too.

everything ended after that and we headed home.

what do you think of this photo??
the flower reminded me of ah ma's pure soul and i know she is still blossoming in all of us.

ok now to grandpa's story.

he is in the hospital now as i am writing this. the reason? still unknown. he complained of abdominal pain and he went to the clinic. the doctor suspected appendicitis. aunt and wei brought him to tung shin hospital and he has been admitted. however, they are not checking him for appendicitis yet because there is no specialist in the hospital. they have only drawn blood for blood test.

so i guess we will only know what is wrong with grandpa tomorrow when more tests are carried out. aunt will be staying the night with him as my brother has a half-marathon to run the next morning.

haiz.....how can i now enjoy yunnan when i dunno what is going to happen to grandpa??

i will be leaving at 9a.m. on MAS flight tomorrow and will be gone for 1 week.
i will not be logging on to my facebook account and there will be no blog too as you simply can't gain access to these sites in china. but i will still be checking my mails when i get the chance and i hope i don't get bad news.

a big bag? only half is filled lah. i am preparing for some cold spell because spring is definitely not here yet. it is better to prepare for colder weather and strip off the layer when it gets warm.

ok....time to continue packing. jai jian and hope grandpa is all right.

online marni hm shopping frenzy

ok- the crazy for limited edition stuff (reasonable ones) me has struck again....and this time it is non-other than the h&m and marni collaboration which was launched just yesterday.

the nearest h&m store here will be in singapore and i had no one there to queue for me outside the shop. well, i do have a friend in singapore who is crazier than me but she was not there in singapore at the moment and she also had to rely on a friend to do it for her. and both of us like the same tee, so there was no way i could get it because each person is only allowed to buy one piece of one design only.

so i had to rely on my dear cousin who is in australia and she had to shop for me on germany's website in the language which she grew up with- german. phew! they only allowed local credit card to be used for purchase in the local country and the billing address must be the same as the receiver's address. so i can't do it using my credit card.

at one point of the e-shopping yesterday, i was supposed to depend on google translate to do the purchase because my cousin had an appointment at the opening time of the sale. online purchase and shop purchase for europe only starts at 1000 central european time. that means it started at 5pm malaysian time and 7pm australian time.

in singapore, the shop opened earlier at 8a.m. if i am not wrong but the queue already started forming the day before at 2pm in the afternoon. geng leh.

anyway, back to my online experience. i purposely stayed at work till 5pm on thursday so i could use the internet service and kept trying to enter the website since 5pm but to no avail. i tried for hours!!!! till 9.30pm. i went out for dinner bringing my notebook with the broadband modem sticking out like a sore thumb. and kept clicking retry retry retry countless times.....

in the end....my cousin in australia was the one who managed to get in when the crowd had dwindled i think. she texted me about 10.30pm malaysian time to say that she had got the items i wanted. she also had to try 30 minutes before she managed to enter the site.

unbelievable!! so here is my loot:

haha....couldn't believe that i would buy a piece of swimwear....but i just couldn't resist this retro design. now i have no more excuse not to do swimming as a routine. i really do want to go swimming regularly and i am hoping that this piece of cute swimwear will make me do it. wakakakaka.....
keeping my fingers crossed that the swimwear will fit me.
ok. the second item i got- this bag. marni is known for their prints and buying this is like paying a homage to the brand. they do have a similar one but in plain orange but i thought that was kinda boring. i am thinking of using this bag to work.
last but not least, i just can't resist this cute tee. i don't buy tees that often nowadays because i have lots of them in the wardrobe that i have only worn few times. ok, i am guilty of owning too many pieces of clothings which i have only worn less than 3 times. but that is because i don't really go out that many times a year.
but i am still a teeshirt person at heart and this tee is cheap at 19,95 euro. must get!! and this tee was sold out after few hours in singapore according to my friend.

phew....was glad that my anxiety ended before i went to sleep yesterday. hmmh....when will i get to hold these things i have ordered? they will be in germany for at least a few months....

all right...back to reality after that shopping frenzy yesterday.

tomorrow we are celebrating grandma's 49th day of passing and there will be some prayers by buddhist masters and we will go to rawang too.
and tomorrow also, grandma's prayer place in the house will 'merge' with the other ancestors. hahaha....dunno how else to describe this. will try to take some photos of the rituals tomorrow to share here.

ok...back to some dreaming. if i have more money and i really want to splurge, i would also get all these stuff from h&m marni.

a printed dress- sold out dy today
sold out too....this was on my priority list initially...but i cut it out later when i realised that i did not want to pay so much for plastic.
gosh, there is still stock for this leather jacket!!! it is 199 euro wor. i want!!!
a cool polka dot jacket which is so chic....and also still available at 99 euro. over the budget.

stack bangles.

so, what do you think of my taste? or marni's designs? hehhe.

some cheers on a sunday

ok....i am forced to do this post by mom and aunt. they want to have bragging rights on this blog too to show their conqusts at eng choon association lunch held today.

this is a lucky draw hamper which mom got. i think it has been ages since she got lucky and this was the hamper she said in jest she wanted to aunt when they passed the gift table.

this is the certificate we got from grandma's donation to the association. well, i should say grandma and uncle's donation since uncle topped up to the final amount.

and ah-ha....yesterday i was talking about empty nest....and the nest became empty in the evening already. bye bye little birdies. i wonder if the mother bird will come back to lay her eggs here since there is a ready-made nest already.

my 'nest' will be quite empty too this week.....classes are cancelled due to exam week. yippee!!! i am going to catch up on the episodes of amazing race season 20 i have downloaded....and breaking dawn part 1 too. can't wait.

birds- dead and alive

time for the chicks progress....but i think it is time to call them fully-grown birds soon.

they were just quietly sitting in their nest and nothing could stir them to open their eyes...of course i did not go and shake their nest.
i wonder if they will be here the next week i come back.

on the topic of bird, i ran over one today on the way back to bidor early in the morning. gosh, i felt so bad....really bad. i had just entered the highway when i saw a bird in the middle of the road. i thought it would fly away when i got near or it would stay still and let my car go above it. instead, a loud thud came as soon as i passed the place where the bird was. i guess the bird committed suicide and i was reponsible for its doom. gulp. felt so bad the whole journey back.

to the weather now. it is wet, wet, wet and wet everyday in the morning, in the afternoon, in the evening and at night. very very good weather to just stay in bed but it is not meant to be with the busy athletics training schedule. and the rain really brings havoc to the field and the training. there is just another week to train the kids and then i am off for one week in yunnan. the temperature in yunan is very mild too (17C to 7C). hope i am going to have a good break before the athletics championship begins.

ok....video update on the 2 little chicks. you can see some feathers growing on their wings dy but their eyes are still close.
i had to clip the video shorter due to the size and it gave me the opportunity to try my iMovie on the mac. quite an easy software to use. convenient.

cobra and illness came visiting

a cobra was found in the drain at the back yesterday and i got the chance to turn national geographic style videowoman for a few seconds before fear overcame me ;)
the small cobra was fierce and its stance showed that it was ready to attack.

finally dad was the one who killed it.

watch the video and listen to the commotion behind me.

last weekend was also the weekend i fell sick. yes, i am no iron lady or superwoman. all energy was drained from me. first was the sleepless nights in klang. then it was back to work in the class and outside on the field. in other words, no rest at all. so the immune system crashed and everything attacked at once- running nose, teary eyes, throat inflammation, and slight fever.
managed to take a rest on friday night as i forced myself to cancel one class, took some medicine and turned better on saturday morning....only to go back to work on saturday for the replacement class. haha....crazy or what.

now, i still have stubborn phlegm left in the trachea and nose. when it is hanging there on the throat, gosh, it feels so damn itchy. a reminder to self from this episode, take a rest and don't over exert yourself. you ain't no superwoman. you are only human.

goodbye klang, hello watch

home sweet home after a horrifying time in klang. never have i been so exhausted from a meeting trip. yesterday, i spent my night in subang and slept like a log for 6 hours. the night session only ended around 10.20p.m. and i drove like a speedracer to subang to catch my sleep.

having a roommate who snored like a jumbo jet is akin to roommate from hell. i did not get any sleep at all and out of sort the whole day.

this morning, leaving from subang was a nightmare too. imagine everyone in subang housing areas leaving for work. gosh, that is the kind of thing those living in subang has to endure. now i know. i reached the hotel back in klang 10 mins before the morning session started. everything ended 3 hours later at 11a.m. and off i shot back to tm with a headache following me all the way. was so relieved to leave klang.

however, before turning into the plus highway, there was a little detour. kekekeke....shopping in bukit raja mall.

was there on the first day and fell in love straight away with this baby:

then went on facebook to see if anyone could get me more discount...but no one could so i ended up with 20% discount offered by the shop only.

i first saw this watch on the wrist of sammi in the seiko advertisement. haha....i noticed the watch not her ok. she had the one in pink in the advert. i prefer this one with multi-coloured stones and green dial. i don't have a black watch....haha...so this justified my purchase lah. kakaka....my most expensive watch. there is no point spending much more on watches from tag heur, longiness, etc since watches to me are accessories which i can match with whatever i am wearing. but if i strike lottery, i won't mind getting a longiness kekeke...

this model is selling quite fast in shops and some have even sold out. bukit raja mall still has 3- the one in pink, in purple and limited edition one in gold which is slightly more expensive for those who are interested.

back home, managed to catch a nap although the head still feels heavy now and the nose is still running. running nose is unavoidable when i lack sleep. that is my symptom.

let me share one cute little video before i go.

2 newly borned chicks in our garden. just rock the nest and their heads will bob with their mouths opened wide eager for food. so cute. will check their progress again this weekend when i am home.

klang oh klang

klang is not a town ppl will usually go to for no reason right?

i mean who wants to go to a dirty and crowded place? the road condition is horrible too- potholes everywhere. and the hotel? aiyoh....so old and the airconditioner is only working after the maintenance workers came twice. there is no hairdryer in the room too. this is one of those hotels where if the government do not help send in some occupants, it will be a white elephant and rot.

the registration period today was from 2.30 to 6.30pm and i arrived at 3.30pm. the roommate had arrived by then and she was fanning herself due to the heat in the room.

went to jusco bukit raja to wait for my brother to pick me up for bak kut teh meal....aaahh...i waited so long! man! just browsed at the limited stores there and had the opportunity to check-out a watch i want. saw it in a magazine first and gosh, it looked better on my wrist. hahaha....looking for ways to get more discounts now!!! anyone has any friend in a watch shop???

this is our bak kut teh meal- the soup and dry version and some vege. it was too much for us and we did not finish the meat in the soup version. i like the dry one better as it has more stronger flavour albeit a slightly salty.

am planning another dinner somewhere but i might go out with my college mates if we can arrange for a meeting. keeping my fingers crossed.
this is the view from the hotel room- klang river and klang mosque. it does not look bad from my window but try going down to the streets. dust and rubbish and dirt everywhere.

ok time to call it a night. my roommate is already snoring away. i hope i can get some sleep amidst her loud snore. sob sob...this ain't no break with no proper sleep.

p/s: there is also no wifi in the room ;( thank god for my broadband

green getaway

i had a short getaway amidst the hectic schedule of work and i like it. some at work thought it was unnecessary that i went since i had no post related to ping pong at work. but i did not care...i was looking forward to a day in taiping as i missed the lush green trees and the serene lakes....and to escape from my routine. oh, i did not ask to be sent to taiping, i was selected to go....and of course i did not reject being appointed haha....the big boss gave no objection.

i did not even have to unpack the toiletries after coming back from taiping, everything will go back into the bag as i go to klang for 3 days 2 nights tomorrow. but this trip to klang, is not one i want to go to. haiz...i will complain and sigh and think of all the classes and work and athletics training i have left behind. i hope something good will turn out from this trip. a movie or two will be most welcomed and a great meal of klang bak kut teh please. ;)

now let me share all the greens in taiping with you all. it is a place i do not mind retiring in and moving to...life is going to be great amidst the rain and rain trees.

flemington hotel, one of the newest hotels in taiping and right in front of the lake gardens. i paid rm138 for my superior room which comes with breakfast for 2. can't get the money back and i had my breakfast alone.

the bathroom.

my room facing the housing area. you have to pay extra rm20 if you want the lake view. i see no point in wasting that money since i could go down and walk around the lake for free....and that was what i did. i took one whole round of the lake, past taiping zoo, the junction to bukit larut (maxwell hill) and had a good sweat.

the calm view of the lake....smooth like a mirror.

proof that i was there.

one of the lakes

the magnificent rain trees.

i left taiping on saturday evening since everyone i brought there had lost their games.

the standard shown was really impressive and i love seeing how the younger kids stayed calm and fought till the very last point. kudos to them and their perseverance. something worth learning from.

reached home only around 9pm yesterday and was so exhausted but i could not rest early. had to prepare photos of grandma's funeral for brother to bring back to australia the next day.
everything was finally arranged and put into albums by 11.30p.m. it was made easier with american idol shown on tv at the same time. so those in aussie, please get the photos from jet. he also has the soft copies.

i need to get my sleep now. hope this coming klang trip will rejuvenate and prepare me for all the work still piled up.

love every day

it is the V day today....the day when most ppl choose to do something romantic for their loved ones and spend a lot of money to get flowers.

hmmh....writing as a single person without a partner will not get me far in this post.

malaysian newspapers have been very extensive in this year's coverage of V day since there were some oppositions to this celebration which is deemed immoral by some parties. what jokers.
sin can be committed anytime and anywhere. why choose today when you know everyone is most alert?

i wonder how much money one would spend on this day to make the other half happy. a bouquet of flowers which is normally priced at rm90 can cost at least rm150 now. all restaurants would be full as well but you don't get to order ala carte. everything is pre-set.

hmmhh... i think it is bad if you only choose to show your love one day in a year. be generous and share whatever love you have. express it. your partner likes flowers? then buy the flowers whenever you pass by a florist and make him/her happy. sometimes, it is the small gesture that counts.

i want to be loved every day instead of that one day ;) greedy. but i also have to remind myself to show love every day in order to get some in return.

well, the clock will not stop ticking and today will be gone before you know it. i will be out later....definitely not in any crowded restaurant in this small town....without flowers too but i will be happy hanging around with people who care for me and whom i care about celebrating a successful pass in exam after toiling and failing twice.

i leave you with one of my favourite whitney houston's song.....we will miss her great voice. and i am sure i will be watching the bodyguard again if they are to air it on tv this weekend.

something to 'beat' about

sorry sorry sorry for not writing the whole week....or more than that.

it has been really exhausting at work and i really have no time to sit down to pour out thoughts and feelings.

it is only the 2nd month of work and the workload is all pilling up. it is time to register the kids for their exams, time to select athletes for the district competition. i have been chosen to bring the district ping pong team to state competition in taiping next weekend and act as one of the coaches. haha...ahem. i can play a little so this week's centralised training with the kids will give me the chance to brush up my skills. but first, i have to go borrow a bat.
then there is the usual teaching and marking and paying all attention to make sure the kids learn and pay their attention to me. it is like an acting job on a stage where you want the audience pay 100% attention to you. hence, it is really tiring when the 'show' is over and you just want to rest and take a deep breath before the next 'show' starts.

hence, even if i have something to share here, i can hardly find the time to sit down to write it down. i am long-winded and going short short with no details ain't no fun ;)

ok anyway, let's go to something happy now.

hmmh....can i say that i have got my valentine's present for 2012 early???
a cool pair of earphones from lady gaga heartbeats by dr dre. my cousin got it for me as a gift although initially i wanted to buy it since i want to have one for my macbook air.

she got it from catch of the day website and it was at a discounted price- aussie 60. cheap.

these are the eartips they give for the earpiece as different ear size will require different tip to get that snug fit. i use the smallest one. once it fits comfortably into my ears, that's when the music really soars. i can really hear the difference. so imagine having those good big headphones where they can cancel all outside noise. with my baby, i don't really have to turn up the volume. being at the lower range is already enough and it does block outside noise as well. definitely a no-no when jogging or when walking around....unless i only wear one piece.
my new ear accesory ;)

it is really gorgeous and comes in a nice case. love it!!!

here is a review of the earphone i found on youtube. i agree with what the reviewer said.
and you know what? the first song i listen to on the earphone happened to be lady gaga's paparazzi. haha...i couldn't believe it. i just pressed the play button on my itunes on macbook and that was the song that was on my shuffled list at that time. you call that destiny or what. i am destined for the earphone! lol

next...

malaysia airlines have tickets fare now and i found reasonably priced tickets (rm2800 return) to amsterdam for may/june holidays. unfortunately, i couldn't find a travel companion. how sad!!!! so frustrating!!!

however, i think i am almost making my mind up to go to yunnan, china this march for 8 days. dali, li jiang and kunming. i am tagging along with someone's group since they are short of one person.
i am looking forward to seeing breathtaking views at this part of china.

the ancient town of li jiang.

the stone forest of kunming. wow.

hope my holiday plans will go smoother with this first trip. i might have to tag along other's trips, but i don't really mind. so am i going to be a 'tagger'??

sore butt this extended weekend

i am feeling very very full now. can't sit straight in the chair because the stomach is just so round. how many days will it take to get rid of all that i have eaten just now??
went to easy cafe with brother, cousin and brother-in-law's brother. we had aloha salad, mixed cheese seafood platter, mixed grill (lamb, beef, chicken), mushroom spaghetti, oreo sundae and banana split. everything was not bad at all except the beef which is quite tough. the seafood is fresh and i love the fish.

oh, see the piece of cake with ladybirds on it? it was a piece of birthday cake shared by a birthday girl at the next table. her brother brought it over to us. how generous.

they have a new menu now at easy cafe and the prices are revised as well- going higher of course. but the portion is quite big so the prices are reasonable. however, i think the next time i go there, i will just go with the salad and not be too greedy. it is better to have more greens- good for health and good for the pocket ;)

it had been a very busy week at work too. we celebrated an early chap goh meh (the 15th day of chinese new year) with much festivities. there was lion dance, calligraphy writing competition, quizzes, dances and singings. hence, all my photographers were busy at work capturing those special moments.
all cameras were taken out in order to get the best shots and i also had to be on duty. after looking through all the photos, they were not that bad. a job well done ;)

it is going to be a long rest this extended weekend for me to rest! and yes, i do need to rest my aching legs and butt and arms after cycling about 15km with my brother this evening. we cycled for about 2hours! gosh, i have not cycled that long in ages. i was complaining after half the journey just to irritate my brother. hahaha...there was no one to listen except him. we went all the way to sg empat and then to proton city.

monday is replacement holiday for the birthday of prophet muhammad while tuesday is thaipusam day. i have an open house invitation in kl on monday and will stay there till tuesday. so i better rest well tomorrow. i dunno what the ladies are up to...but i want to watch war horse!!

to all the 3 main races in malaysia, happy chap goh mei, happy maulidur rasul and happy thaipusam. to the rest- happy holidays!
