is emigration the new key to a better life??
i got a call from a parent who is already planning to send her son to australia after his form 5 education. the boy is only in form 3 now. and i dun even know the parent nor her son. she is a friend of a friend. she is just enquiring about the study procedures and general stuff. what do i know eh....except some common stuff.
gosh, more and more of the younger generation are leaving the country. i do not hear those around my age planning their emigration.
heck, even my 2 sisters and 1 uncle are already there. and the next one, my youngest brother.
is the prospect of staying in this country growing so bleak? i am no economist and what do i know about the future.
or maybe i am just one who do not plan for the future and dunno what i want?? this kinda matters make me numb in the brain dept. or is it a form of escape?
i can't see myself going anywhere in 5 years!!! am i useless or unambitious?

I think it's the herd and 'grass is greener on the other side' mentality. People keep complaining about how terrible this country really is and then they leave instead of doing anything to change things. I know people say things can't be changed but running away isn't the way!!
And hey, look at your sisters la. Cannot say anything about other people.And NO, it's not a bad thing that you don't wanna leave. What's bad about it? You're comfortable and making a decent living what.
The only reason why I would leave is because I've fallen in love with the other country. Which is NOT the reason for most people. Does that make it more valid for me to leave? ;P
there is nuthing wrong with the country if u choose to look at it from the normal daily perspective....but if u look in depth at the social, education and political context, maybe u'll get the whole idea why ppl migrating these days....
well, no one place in this world is perfect, for me... there is no other place than home....

hmm..will i ever fall in love with another country?? i dun think i ever will. after all malaysia is home, and there is no place like home.
i am making a decent life...yeah...but just decent. anyway, i am not blaming anyone for this. just blame complacency. :P
ok so there is memang something wrong socially, and politically. this really sucks! i guess too many things have been swept under the carpet for too long and it is hard to revolutionalise now. how sad...this might be a good reason to leave.
and another reason is...marry a non-malaysian and follow husband. waakakaka.
