from surfers to change

ok i dunno how to start. i have to start to get that blogging feeling again. just looking at the screen and dunno what to talk about.

all i can think of is the one week of excitement i have missed ... yeah, election 08. what a tsunami.

and today's newspaper national news is all about that still. gosh, i guess people will be talking about this for a long long time to come. the people have spoken..so let's get the work going and no more dilly dally or making up excuses and finger pointing anymore.

to less serious and heavy stuff now. my gold coast vacation. quite a relaxing week i had there. after all it was just a typical seaside resort town holiday and i did the common thing tourists would do when they are there. theme parks! hahaha...yeah! i survived all the rides. guess i am still not too old for the thrills...despite some coaxing to get on one ride. will get to that soon.

so let's start. less words and more pics...i hope i can do that.

arriving in the morning at gold coast. flight was not bad...very cold as usual but got some sleep. not as uncomfortable as i expected. the seat was quite spacious.
our rm20 prebooked meal. this was western. oh, the cup of 3 in 1 nescafe cost me rm5. they gave you a bottle of mineral water with the meal. asian meal was nasi lemak. the return flight meal sucked. blame the caterer on the australian side..hehehe...
view from the balcony of our A$630 a week apartment. for 7 days it was a good price. divide that by 4, it was reasonable. you get lots of bats on the trees every night.
warm water in the pool to soothe the tired legs. it was more popular in the afternoon when the sun was too hot for the beach.
our dinners were all cooked here. it was too expensive to eat out. money matters here. we cooked spaghetti, fried rice, chicken curry and had pizza and roast chicken in the oven. saved a lot. one person has to pay more than A$10 to eat out...one meal.

we can do our laundry every day. so no dirty clothes to bring back.
the living room where most nights were spent in front of the tv after dinner. it was really a relaxing holiday.
the room i shared with sookhua with attached bath room and ceiling fan.
yee and wei's room with ceiling fan.

we all enjoyed the apartment. hahaha....so convenient and so comfortable. accomodation is important when you have to stay put in one place for the whole week.
