catch me if you can

there will be some wild goose chases if there is the need to catch the tau fu fa lady at weekends.

she came back from retirement last year and now she only sells at weekends. she has an apprentice (male) who learnt the art of making tau fu fa from her and he sells his from his motorbike. but tried as he might, he just couldn't get the soft and fine texture that the tau fu fa lady has. of course he did not admit it but die hard fans like yours truly can taste the difference.

her coming back was my joy. oh, and atticus waited for her religiously when he was back here as well. one of his fav. so today, as soon as i heard her horns from faraway, i ran to the kitchen to get the bowl and told ah ma (grandma), tau fu fa lady is here. she watched out for her while i went searching for the right change, rm2.50 (it used to be rm2 a big bowl but now bean price has increased). sometimes, you seemed to have heard her horn, but then you waited and waited and realised that it was the horn that trailed back after she had left. then it would be disappointment and try again on sunday.

i will be her fan as long as she sells it. i already have 2 bowls today and there is still some left. if no one touches it for dinner, it will definitely be mine.
