keeping up with the resolutions

do you still remember the resolutions you made at the beginning of the year??
it is now into the third week of the new year, have you already forgotten the resolutions?? NO!!
good if you still remember the resolutions, but then are you doing what you have promised yourself??

keeping a resolution is definitely not an easy thing but if you don't start with a difficult one and are disciplined, nothing is impossible.

i am proud to say that i have been keeping mine. phew! a pat on my back ;)
i finished the book which i started last year and now am moving into my second book.
i am reading cloud atlas now. i must finish this book before i proceed to watch the movie. so far, the plot has been really intriguing and it is interesting to see how the author established the links between characters that span different eras and decades and also places. my progress with the book is satisfactory. yes, play less computer game and read more.

the yellow book on the right, was acquired this week. one of the most expensive books i have so far again. why are books so expensive? the original price of the book stands about rm90. luckily i got the 30% discount voucher from the newspaper, and with my cousin's help, i managed to get it. what is so special about the book you ask. well, i like the review and the plot, so i got the book. as simple as that. but i don't think i will be picking up this book first after i finish cloud atlas. i will most probably go to alexander mccall smith. i miss mma ramotswe's stories.

there was a little indulgence too this week in the form of a slice of heavenly home-made tiramisu. it was so rich. but fortunately, been jogging quite constantly as well.
nothing extreme, just some light jog. after 2 days of continuous jog, my whole body ached and i felt 50. must push my body harder....oh please give me the will and don't let my legs ache.

last but not least, some money was spent on the car this week too. haiz. another screw was missing from the wheel!! what happened??? how did the screw break and then run away with the bolt??
while in the workshop, the mechanic also noticed that my brake pad was exhausted already, hence it was time to change a new brake pad. so in the end, rm190 changed hands and i could drive without fear that my wheel will fly away in the midst of driving.
i really have to keep an eye on my wheels. the last time it happened, it was the front left tyre. this time, it was the front right tyre. i hope this is the end of my misfortunes with screws.

am looking forward to the coming week. my brother will be back from aussie, there will be two public holidays as well. yahoo!!! rest rest rest.
