now to some festive shots

bidor community has been more enthusiastic about the celebration and many have decorated their houses with bright festive lights. below are just some from my row. and yours truly's house also has one this year. aunt got jet to hang them. jet is keeping his fingers crossed that when it rains, there won't be any short circuit. haha

and what is new year without the soft drinks and cookies?!!! pineapple tart is always my favourite!!!

we were still toiling in the kitchen yesterday baking cookies!! dunno how many rounds already of making pineapple tarts. i gave some to my neighbours in bidor, and the one opposite shouted out to me that the cookies were yummy!!! i gave her custards and pineapple tarts. the best we make i think. even my colleagues said mom's pineapple tarts are still the best. we had many cookies to sample at the office and to order. so i guess in a way it is a hint for me to bring back some of the cookies to the office after the cny break lah. already kept and hid them for the office.

and i have already received my first ang pow from my next door neighbour. in return for the cookies i gave, she gave me jellies, some mandarin oranges, a packet of peanuts and this beautiful angpow. it is from mcD. haven't opened it yet. will save it for tomorrow.

well, well, will leave now. tonight is the reunion dinner. yum yum. can't wait. to all celebrating, have a good dinner whoever you are with. remember it is the prelude to a better year. so enjoy it and sleep late. tradition believes that the longer you keep awake, the longer the seniors in your house will live. and of course the best activity to keep you awake is 'dry swimming'. hahaha GONG XI FA CAI and WIN WIN WIN
