only reached home at 9.30p.m. and uncle, aunt and cousins were here. yeah....got to see handsome zhong. hahaha...poor guy still suffering from jetlag. so he has to sleep at 11p.m. and will wake up at 8a.m. i lent him my broadband modem, dunno whether he can use it in slim river or not. he said he was deprived. haha..

i am very tired. airasia as usual faced a delay and i reached lcct 90 minutes later than scheduled.

sook hua drove me back to tm. thanks for the ride.

the video above shows yours truly at aonang shooting range. those sounds were really loud and ooh...those jerks. how do those ppl control their arms and shoulders and still get the target? it was exhilarating...my first time...but scary at the same time. i was imagining a real person being hit and what would the effect me. i shuddered. tested two guns: .35mm and .45mm

can't sleep so early...been sleeping past midnight and now you want me to sleep at 10?

anyway, let's share some yummy food. had them with ying ying and boy...i am sooo full right now....i think i am going to be moderate with my food in krabi. or better still....go and burn some fat there.

there is a small stall selling fried chicken next to 'leong kei' now. not bad...rm2.50 a piece.

hokkien noodles. uncle's favourite. thought there would be many ppl since tomorrow is hari raya aidiladha, but nope, the crowd was just so-so.

stir fried kuey teow 'leong kei' style. the egg makes the noodles even smoother...

and this is beanie...i think i have posted similar photo of his gazing outside but if you pay attention, nowadays he parks himself on the right side of the gate and stares all the way to the right too. that is where his 'lover' stays...past the field, turn right.

well, i wish i can yawn now..but better force some rest. tata

aaah...what a beautiful day it is today.
although i did not get much sleep yesterday...blame it on the nap i had in the evening...i woke up with a sense of purpose.
i knew i had to wake up early for a reason. so as soon as i got out from my room, dad told me, go dress up, you are bringing grandpa to the bank. well, that made waking up early worthwhile. so off we went to the bank. grandpa had to put his signature on some documents. it is kinda morbid. he is signing and letting go of some shares so there would be no follow-ups later when he 'retires' to the nether world. gosh, it is hard to think that my grandparents days are kinda numbered. they are almost 90 now but of course no one in the family wants them to leave us yet. it is cool to still have grandparents and ppl actually nodded in awe when you introduced your grandparents.

so after coming back from the bank, it was morning papers time. then mom got back from her breakfast and 'kicked' me to move the old book rack which will be turned into shoe rack outside. so got down to some cleaning and dusting and moving shoes and rack...and voila, now there is only one big shoe rack outside the house instead of 2. yippee...more space ;P

then lunch...just some vege and sweet and sour pork. had an apple too. dun wanna eat too full because i am going out for dinner with ying.

next up, billy bookcase. aah...had to do some stretching first. man, the unopened box weighs 35kg ok. no wonder we were huffing and puffing carrying it into the house.

luckily i did not need any electrical gadget's help. just did it with my own hands and some physical power and also help from mom.
so yours truly worked according to the manual given.
and voila, this is the complete bookcase in its corner. mom was wondering if all our books could fit into it...

and here you see, all the books in the bookcase. too bad, whatever shakespeare's quotes are all covered by the books. and frankly, one bookcase is not enough for all our books. i have to double park some books. and damn it, i realised that some of my books are missing. where are my harry potters??? i only saw 2 out of 7 i bought!!! we also lost the first artemis fowl.

there is no space in the house for another bookcase, so you can save the suggestion.

getting all hot and sweaty was fun especially since i haven't been doing any exercise. lazy me. will make sure i swim everyday i am in krabi.

and audrey...you want these books? not many but i can keep them for you...all 10 of them.

rest for a while, fb sikit, watched amazing race and back to work again. got all my shorts, tees, singlets, umbrella, cap, socks, swimsuit, goggles, etc and chucked them into the new cabin trolley. yup, its virgin trip.

isn't it purplelicious?? i don't own many purple stuff, but i think i am beginning to love this colour.

i am almost done. some toiletries are yet to go in and i think that's it.

holiday bits

it is the holidays and you do not know what date or what day of the week it is.
i have to make myself check the calendar a few times a day to make sure i know what day it is.
well, sitting at home ain't that bad. i have been doing come cleaning.
my sis asked me, 'why must you do spring cleaning every holiday?' my answer to her, "well, i think it is good for the soul and i am lighter after decluttering." agree?
i just like to see some space in the house.

so project billy bookcase started a few days ago when i found a few empty boxes to put the books from the old bookcase. there was a bit of wiping because the books are covered with dust. right now, the project is nearing completion. i am just waiting for the electric drill so i can put the nuts and bolts together and get billy up.

these did not look much eh....so i think billy will still have a lot of space for more books. and oh, the box on the left....that will go to the dump. all those magazines featuring ruby lin, wang lee hom and sammi cheng. yup, i am even throwing those but of course i kept some of those nice nice ones lah. sayonara. mills and boons and silhoutte romance are also in that box.

going through all the novels made me realised that i actually have short term memory. can you remember the plot and characters of every novel you have read vividly? boy, i can't. i even had to ask myself if i had read some of the books on the rack. gosh...not an early sign of dementia i hope.

next, i can start packing for my trip to krabi tomorrow. i haven't done any packing at all except charging the batteries of the camera and buying my train ticket.yup, on friday, i am taking the morning train, 6.12a.m. and will be reaching kl sentral at 7.35a.m. yawn. i bought second class ticket and paid rm14. expensive hor? economy class is half the price and when i checked online, i noticed all the seats were almost taken already. so i dun think i want the crowd lah. so from kl sentral, i am taking the putra lrt to wangsa maju where i will meet sookhua for breakfast and then someone will send us to the airport. flight to krabi is at 1.30p.m.

last but not least...this postcard of aurora borealis or the northern lights that i got from finland. sooo beautiful and it is actually one of the things i wanna see before i die. i thought you can only see it in canada, so now i have another option. but ....when will i go?

oh, i've been catching up on some movies too....that is my hobby in the holidays.

julie and julia....really yummy offering. love meryl streep in her high pitched voice and amy adams. i think amy adams is the new renee zellweger. she has that kind of quality when renee first became famous but unfortunately, i think renee has lost a bit of her shine. amy is really a breath of fresh air to every character she takes. makes me wanna take up french cooking now.

i love you, beth cooper...just watch it for silly stuff. no comment. makes me not like hayden panetteire more.

my sister's keeper...finally cameron diaz has got a good role and she really excels in it. girl, you should experiment more instead of being the pretty face in the movie. abigail breslin as usual is lovable and so articulate. watch it with a box of tissue next to you. well, i cried reading the book, and i know the parts in the movie, and i still cried.

500 days of summer...well, a different kind of love story. and it is kinda hard to take the boy whom everyone watched on third rock from the sun all grown up. sorry, can't think of his name now. i dunno whether to still call him a boy or a man. he still has his baby face. like the twist at the ending.

the brothers bloom...a big con story and it is a good one. love the cast especially rachel weisz, she has been dabbling in a lot of different roles. like adrien brody's depressed look too.

whatever works...woody allen's work so expect some quirkiness. but glad that i found this piece about a retired physicist marrying a homeless young woman, the mother of the young woman who settled down with 2 men at the same time, and the father of the young woman who realised he was gay after all these years. well, whatever works.

and not forgetting my gossip girl, greys anatomy, ugly betty and amazing race.

so no wonder my eyes are so dry. can't wait to leave the computer for 4 days and replace the screen with view of the beach and sea.

last thursday...

all rite...last thursday....waaayy....past tense....but who cares ;P

so me and the girls went to kinta city again to watch 2012 and i also decided to add a christmas carol to the list since we were there early. our 2012 was at 3.30 and a christmas carol was at 8.30p.m. those who decided to catch 2012 on that day were in no luck again, everyone in the queue was buying tickets for 2012....for the next day. that movie is really making big bucks in our cinemas huh. i also waited for 20 mins in the queue to get a christmas carol and that made me miss the first few minutes of 2012. luckily i din miss much. oh, if you are going for 2012, please don't drink anything before or during the show. going for nature's call is not something you wanna do in the middle of the show. learn that from me.

this is a cup of hazelnut caffe au lait i got from coffee bean before the show. i was kinda sleepy and exhausted...lack of sleep you see....and the cashier even asked me if i wanted my coffee extra strong. gosh, i din know my face spelt lethargic. so i finished the whole cup before going into the cinema...and boy...how i regretted it. but hey, you can't bring any outside beverage into the cinema, so i definitely had to down that cup. it was good though....yum yum.

the movie 2012 was quite gripping with all its destructions. but when you looked back, everything was really blown out of proportion and it made you think that john cusack's family was the luckiest one ever to live on earth. he escaped without a scratch till the end. and the moral of the story- only the rich can survive in a catastrophe. watch it for the destructions though.

and a christmas carol- well, i was disappointed. i love that story and i even watched the kelsey grammer's movie version and liked it. but this 3-d one that we have now, bah ...humbug....it was soo confusing and it made me dizzy. those who did not know the story would be confused definitely. however, i was impressed with the 3-d effects....the views were stunning but not human characters though. this animation really spoilt the story. i hope viewers would not be discouraged to read the story though.

so anyway...another reason to go to ipoh that day was to get a bag. the red bag from liz clairborne is quite worn already. the patent pvc is peeling and there are already cracks on the handle...urggh...ugly. been using it for 2 years, so i guess it is time to say goodbye.

since it is an everyday bag which i will use for work, so there is no point getting an expensive one right. but i sooo love the red one from coach. and ooh...there is another one from anya hindmarch which is on sale right now. it will be crazy bringing a one-thousand-ringgit bag to work. so a deep breath....and i got the black one from nike at rm249. i'm gonna use it for 2 years before i change another hahaha...

it is really a spacious bag and has many pockets for me to stuff things here and there. i can foresee me chucking my newspaper, pencil case, water bottle, documents, books, wallet, handphone, etc in it. by using it to the max, it is well-worth the money spent. amen. no guilt there.

dinner that day was at kenny rogers. we ordered one whole chicken which came with 4 side dishes and 5 of us could not finish the side dishes and 4 muffins. all watching weight huh? gosh, the girls were all so thin and light.

my favourite side dish is macaroni and cheese...always.

and ooh...a little feast for the eyes...

not mine lah....one boy pestered me to get every copy of galaxie mag everytime. he is soooo irritating. and this time, he got 2 of the same issue but with different covers. the reason...listen to this.h aha......he is a big fan of taylor swift and there are rumours that she is dating taylor lautner now right? he has decided to make taylor lautner his target practice on the wall. poor taylor.

well, i am team edward obviously.

so anyone who has an extra taylor swift's poster, you know who you can give it to. wa....i can imagine him licking my toes just to get the poster muahahahhaa......baaadddd....serves him right for irritating me everytime galaxie is released.

and that night ended at 11p.m. when we reached bidor safe and sound. phew...thank god no rain. and that night again....i din get any sleep. damn caffeine. i guess i can only take coffee in the morning.

you dance, i march

finally...the dance. well, it is more like a march...

it did not go as well as i hoped it would. the kids were moving faster than the beat. can't blame them though. the hall was full, so stage jitters were definitely present in every soul on stage....if they could still find their souls at that time.

well, so with this 'release', it signals my end as a choreographer lah kan? it was a great one week for me though.

so cold, yet so hot

the sky is grey and the weather is wet. it is great for snuggling in bed but of course i have no one to snuggle with.

however, when it comes to the dog, the story is turned the other way round. our dog is 'hot'...yeah...both literally and figuratively. he is in heat!! he dashed out from the house whenever the opportunity came (twice already since i came home) and headed 2 blocks away to look for his bitch. haha...this is the only time when i get to use the word 'bitch' correctly in its meaning. it was impossible to lure him back. food just did not work here...not even his favourite chicken liver.

luckily, the bitch came to our direction this time around and she was more interested in the chicken liver. so we got both of them in the house and then kicked her out. ouch...ok, we gotta do what we gotta do.

so in the video above, you see beanie looking outside only and not bothered with the chicken liver and the piece of biscuit in his bowl. the bitch was still outside at that time and he couldn't stop barking. there was another dog outside as well, but i guess our beanie looked more handsome and dashing.

it is quiet now downstairs, no more barking. phew! this dog has to be chained in the daytime. yes, it's an order.

happy holidays

tables are almost empty...well we are clutters and they can never be empty. lockers are locked. everyone has left. well, i was the last to leave today....and it was the first time. so i got to enjoy the only time when the staff room was all peace and quiet. it was quite calming. this is the last time the arrangement will remain this way. this holiday, this room will have a makeover. walls will be knocked down, tables will be rearranged, etc. i wonder who i will face next year and which spot i wil be in. am keeping my fingers crossed. meanwhile, i am happy that mr chan is coming back to be with us. yeah...we will get durian when the season comes. hahhahaha....

no movie, so shopping instead

is apocalypse movie really that good??? kinta city was crowded yesterday and everyone only headed to the cinema for 2012. me? well, i headed to the cinema as soon as i got there at 6p.m. but found out that all tickets for all shows were sold out. i din wanna be there that late, but my meeting only ended 14 minutes before 5. damn!

in the end, went shopping instead. the first thing bought:

check the date carefully....so yes, i am going to ipoh again tomorrow for the movie. crazy or not? the girls wanted to go, so what the heck....since i have nothing to do anyway.

and next, i love what i got....i was so surprised when i saw that....yippee!!!

a new limited edition teeshirt from mango which collaborated with one of my favourite authors, paolo coelho. yeah!!! i surfed online and found that it is actually already in its second edition. the tees are printed with words from the author and 45% of the profit will go to charity. go here to see the shirts clearer.

what first caught my attention were the boxes. i thought mango has begun selling books too. hehehe...silly me. then only i saw the shirts. i got the one in blue as i realised that i dun really have any blue tee. i am tempted to buy all actually hahaha....it goes for rm85 a piece. 3 are sleeveless while 3 are tees.
my tee screams this: what is the real 'i? it's what you are, not what others make of you. hmhh....i like what i read.
these tees are sold out in some countries very fast, so if you wanna get your hand on one, you better go fast. or.....i can help you get one since i am going again tomorrow. the white one is nice, but again, it also depends what statement you want printed on your shirt.

was supposed to go to a malay colleague's wedding last saturday but didn't because i had a meeting.
so a group of us gave 'ang pow' instead....

today, i found on my table a goodie bag...albeit a small one, it is quite a surprise because usually only those who went for the wedding will get the bunga telur or small favours (chocolate, biscuits, etc). i guess time has changed.

so you get some biscuits, chocolate, jelly, bunga telur and a handkerchief. not bad eh? this is around rm5 i think.

ok to work now. this is the last week of work...so everyone is busy packing stuff and filing them. i have finished packing and putting the necessary things in files. just waiting for friday to come ;P

going to ipoh later in the afternoon to watch 2012. not really a fan of all these disaster movies but there are no other choices. have to attend disciplinary board meeting first. so please dun let it be long.

what is the image that conjures in your head of the person being described there? i see someone very happy and bright with lots of positive energy oozing from her. ok, not trying to blow my own trumpet, but going through those adjectives there makes me think of a very positive person. am i?

before you go 'ooooooohhhh' how touching, well, just to let you know, the idea is not theirs. it came from yours truly who did one piece for all 31 of them based on adjectives collected from their friends in one of the lessons. they did not suspect anything at all because they quickly forgot about that piece of paper after a few months. but this is the first time i got one in return. so how can i not be touched? shall i frame that up? but if i did, i wouldn't be able to see 2 photos they have pasted behind. so maybe i will just keep it in a clear folder.

my favourite adjective from the list is 'irreplaceable'...no favouritism ok. i feel special thinking that i am unique. haha...okok..i am gloating. i also like 'sunny'....well for obvious reason you all know. sob sob...i think i can feel tears coming into my eyes.

it will not be the same anymore. i just don't feel as much attachment and bond with the next group. maybe it is a sign to leave...to a new place, to new challenges? this is all empty talk, i am too timid to leave...yes, when i talk of leaving, it will be leaving to another profession. not that i have anything in mind.

well, let's just leave this empty talk and savour the moment. at least it is safe to say that 'i came, i saw, i conquered'. excuse me while i go grab a piece of tissue.

food post

am having my meeting here in tm for 3 days aaahh....bliss.

had lunch today at secret recipe, my first time here. the deco is quite nice and it is quite a comfortable place. and lucky me, someone decided to buy me lunch. well, it is in return for the favour i am giving anyway...so i deserve my lunch.

ok, i am not that glutton to order 2 main dishes ok. i had the grilled dory with lobster sauce and a piece of strawberry chocolate cake. the sauce was too salty for my taste. my friend ordered the macaroni and cheese...i love it. i recommended it to her actually. to wash down all the food, i had a glass of warm water. hehe...i only order warm water nowadays when i go out to eat. a healthy choice. oh, i don't like the cake....it is just like plain chocolate cake with strawberry sauce. i will still stick to my yoghurt cheese next time.

next is dessert post....not in tm though. went out with some kids for dessert on tuesday night. have never promoted them here, so i am doing the boss a favour lah.
i think this is the only stall that sells dessert the whole day. it is known for its shaved ice menu. i dunno what you call the one on the left, but the one on the right is their ice kacang. yummy. quite generous with the topping....haha...i have forgotten how much i paid. well, if you are craving for shaved ice after having your duck noodles in bidor, go and ask for 'taiwan street' and you will find the stall there, corner lot.

check where your child is

cases of fake kidnapping have been appearing in the newspapers recently and today, i heard one that happened right in our town.
the modus operandi is to call the unsuspecting parents and tell them that you have their child and then demand a ransom. the child at this time is definitely not by your side. the thing now is to stay calm.

the story is told by mom...she was indirectly involved so i get the storylah. ok, mom fetches primary children to and from school. and as usual today, in the afternoon, she dropped one of the girls off at her house. then around 10 mins later, mom got a call from the girl's mom who is my insurance agent. she asked mom if she had seen her daughter. then mom told her that she had just dropped her at her house. actually the parent was not the one who got the call from the fake kidnapper. it was her mom or was it mother-in-law. luckily she called mom to clarify. poor anxious parent. i dun think the word anxious can describe her feeling. mom then told her to make a police report. oh, my insurance agent was in behrang at that time.

how did the fake kidnapper managed to get her mother's (or in law) handphone no? i shudder thinking of what the world has turned into. thank god the girl is not harmed. i am just dumbfounded. it was lucky that mom's no is in my insurance agent's phone book. my agent would have been so tortured.

i was contemplating what kind of look i want before going for my hair cut- androgynous, classic or elegant???

in the end, i left it to the hairstylist yet again. he said, 'why don't we try to keep the hair long.' and when i got up to go for a wash, i noticed the amount of hair that had fallen off from my head. that was a lot to keep my hair 'long'. hehee....noo....i am not angry. well, according to him there are many ways to keep the hair 'long'.

so my hair is short again....but only one side- the right side. the left side has more hair and the fringe is slanted towards the left. makes me feel like tilting my head towards the left more too...haha...it is all in the mind. from the right, u can see my ears, but not from the left. from the right, my eye is not covered, but from the left, if i am to pull down the fringe, it will cover part of my eye. well, go figure what my style is. it is definitely androgynous.

someone told me that i look 'not balanced'. hahaha.....i will see what the others say tomorrow at the workplace.

i have complete faith in my hairstylist. he has never failed me. he makes me have a certain attitude and character with these funky hairstyles he created with his magic fingers. when i told him that one side is purposely longer than the other, he replied, 'i am running out of ideas on what style to cut for you, so i try something more drastic.' haha....he makes sure i get a new style with every cut. so i can never say i go for a trim when i go to him. it is definitely a cut everytime.

but the bad thing is, i guess i will never look demure and ladylike enuf to attract guys' attention who seem to fall for those type with long straight hair. well, i will just 'rock' my style and be funky.

onto another thing...the dance. finally...it is coming. tomorrow. the rehearsal was actually quite horrible. it was their first time performing in front of their own friends (half the hall was actually filled) and everyone had stage fright. gosh, they looked so pale and lifeless. then the steps were wrong, they were not synchronised, etc. but in the afternoon when we did a few runs and everyone was sweating and hot, the moves came back. i better psyched them up a bit before their performance. they need the adrenalin. keeping my fingers crossed.

annual dinner

it is the second last month of the year and the work calendar is almost coming to an end. so the end-of-the-year dinner at the workplace is inevitable. previously, mine was just at the workplace, but this year we went out and got ourselves a place in trolak residence- anjung restaurant. urggh....just the mention of the name makes me wanna puke now. the food sucked big time.
some friends in kl had theirs at the palace of the golden horses. wow...how posh is that. i have heard of some who went to jogoya at starhill and some even went to pavilion. jealous. well, my place is a small one with very limited budget.


anyway, i drove down alone to trolak at before 3 and reached there on the dot at 3.30. was one of the last to arrive...hey the rest were early, but the boss was not there yet.

if anyone is looking for a retreat, this might be the place for you...rolling plantations and free from any traffic sound. there are 2 tennis courts too. not sure how much they are charging for the rooms here. if you are bored, bidor is just about 20 mins away....go there for the food. and sg klah hotspring in sungkai is not far too.

what did we have? nasi goreng cina, ayam percik, lamb chop, prawn, hotdog (for a proper meal?!!!urgh!!!) and fries. i wonder how much we are paying per head.

the salad and dessert place...cucur udang, agar-agar, cakes, water-melon, salad and satay. the satay was tough. but they said the cucur was good. u can actually see prawns inside.

our souvenir- a recyclable bag in different colours (green, purple, blue and pink), notebook and towel. my colleague got the pink one for me...well, it is the most striking colour among the rest. i was surprised to get them, remember the limited budget? and the balance in the account after all was spent....haha.....rm0.60 to bring forward to 2010. good financial planning.

some of the ladies in attendance. quite a few did not turn up. let me see.....around a dozen did not make it....some i bet on purpose....one i knew had a headache, one went back to kelantan to support the football team.

sigh...kinda sad thinking of the condition we have at the workplace. most of those non-locals take the place as a touch-n-go lane. they will only be parked here for a while before they get their transfer approval. so there is no sense of belonging at all to the place and when this is in the heart, where is the dedication? although i am a non-local as well, it has never come across my heart to just do a lame job. politics in the workplace is worse in some departments and some have just refused to co-operate. sometimes they are too selfish. in the end, it is the kids who are going to suffer. (well, i am telling myself and the kids that we should believe in karma.) there are others good ones as well of course and they are those who have managed to upkeep the excellence in the workplace so far. the local folks better keep their fingers crossed that these people will still be around for a few more years and better learn to appreciate them.

visitors to melbourne in march 2010

anouncement uncle, aunt, siblings and cousins.

you are going to have 2 visitors from malaysia in march. yes...you heard me right: TWO not one.

first one to confirm the booking of ticket is aunt. we did the booking and stuff last week. she will depart from klia on 10 march and coming back on 8 april.

the second one....this is just confirmed few minutes ago. my dad...yes....dad is going to join aunt on the flight to melbourne on 10 march but he is coming back earlier on 27 march.

dad wanted to go when he heard that the tickets were so cheap. em tai tak ah. but of course he couldn't get aunt's price of rm1005. his is rm1230. ok lah....return wor.

so start planning....

rehearsal update

been practising the dance everyday now in the afternoon, only 1 hour each day. so far so good. no one has quit the team, so that is a good sign.
everyone has got the moves quite synchronised. some are still slower than the beat, but that can be improved.
we still haven't got the chance to do the formation of the dancers placing on the stage, so am keeping my fingers crossed that we will get it tomorrow when we get to use the hall and the stage.
the crew has been very dedicated, staying back and no one is complaining. well, of course you hear them saying they have aches all over their bodies now, but it is part of the fun i guess. haha...they are discovering muscles which they have never known exist on their bodies.

as for me, i have stayed back every afternoon and missing lunch in the process as well. ;( well, part of the sacrifice i guess. my neck, shoulders and calfs are feeling the strain.

i think i am under some pressure here because i have to mark and meet deadline at the same time. sign that you are under stress- more hair is falling after a shower. read that it is because less oxygen is getting to the head as it is used elsewhere. no wonder the head feels so heavy as well.

well, can't wait for the weekend for a break. maybe i can reward myself with a piece of yoghurt cheesecake from secret recipe? but then again, i need to lose whatever i put on yesterday. sucks.

2 hours after steamboat buffet....still very full, but the eyes are getting very heavy. no choice, definitely heading to slumber land after this post.

occasion: nothing special, just have to finish using the money from fine collected.
the location of this restaurant is on jalan padang tembak, it is on the road heading to pangkor in teluk intan town. the price is rm17.90 per person.

i think inside there are about 20 tables. there is a small stage too and i think the locals use this restaurant for wedding banquet as you can see from the big signboard outside the restaurant. the diners when i was there were mostly ppl from out of town, looking at the way they dressed, but there were some locals as well.

there was a lot of food to choose from so one is really spoilt for choice. however, ok...must have complaint lah....the seafood pieces are kinda small. small prawns, small crabs, small clams, etc. the fish fillet was not that fresh today. but it is still worth eating there lah if you really like seafood and can eat A LOT!

bitten by dance bug

my youngest brother thought that michael jackson's this is it was a documentary about him. boy was he wrong. well, i have corrected him while chatting on msn this afternoon. wei has watched it too on the same day as i did, and he was slightly late to the cinema because of heavy rain. well, he din miss much in the first few minutes. wei said he enjoyed it too. atticus was really jealous when he knew that i watched it.

i tried to send attie michael's live performance of the song 'they don't care about us' via messenger. well, i managed to send it to him. unfortunately, his laptop did not have the software (vlc) to open it. i hope he gets to see this video here now. it is one of the teasers of the movie.

watching that movie had injected a crazy idea into my head. i am now actually in the midst of getting a group of 21 teens ready for a dance performance following the song 'they don't care about us'. they need to perform next thursday. today we did the first session. it was tiring and we only managed to do the marching part and the arm raise.

tomorrow, we are moving to the hand and leg synchronisation part....you can see the part in the teaser above....somewhere at the end when they played the song 'they don't really care about us'. that is the part we are going to achieve tomorrow. been watching the video for the 50th time i think and getting my arm red in the process of imitating every move. not that i am any dancer at all. thank god it is more like a marching drill. that is why i chose this song in the first place. let's the others sing their songs, we will do our dance and hopefully, end the year on a high note.

craving weekend

saturday morning.
the newspaper showed one full page of advertisement of mcdonalds' happy meal and i couldn't resist. since there is no mcdonalds at sg buloh rest area, the next best thing on the list is A&W.
i smsed my brother who was coming back that day and told him i wanted a coney dog. his reply, "u gila ah...it will be sloppy dog when i reach home. if u wan, i can get for u de."

so at 2.15p.m. he reached home with a chicken coney and an empty fries packet. he bought one value meal and finished the rootbeer and fries leaving me with what i ordered. and guess who took the first bite of the coney dog?? he lah. i guess it is not too sloppy for his taste.

if i am not wrong, chicken coney is only introduced this year. verdict- not as good as beef coney. the dog is tougher. go for the beef one and please, add more sauce for the topping. they are always so stingy with the sauce.

and since saturday was 31st, how could the trip complete with baskin robbins? so i told him to choose whatever flavours he wanted this time and this is what we have at home now.

strawberry and rum and raisins. guess you just can't take the rum and raisins from our baskin robbins tub.
