yup....2 more museums in my list and i am done. first, musee d'orsay. it used to be a railway station but now is a museum exihibiting pre and post impressionist art work. love them. in fact, i prefer the two museums i visited that day than the louvre. the louvre is just too crowded.
the atmosphere in these two museums is much much better and you can take your own sweet time to appreciate the art pieces they have.
they had a special exhibition for manet paintings, unfortunately, our museum pass did not include entrance to special exhibitions ;(
this is the railway station building. another unfortunate thing is, they did not allow photography in the museum. so i could only capture them in my head now. but trust me, the paintings here are really good. van gogh's self portrait anyone?? renoir?? monet? manet? go there.
next destionation: centre pompidou, a modern art museum. i like.
but before that- lunch. saw this chinese restaurant on the way and since someone was craving for rice, we went in. we chose their buffet spread. paid 9euro. eat as much as you like, but no one is a big eater lah. anyway, if you were to order a main meal from a restaurant, it is more than 10 euro. so it is cheaper lah.
modern art anyone?? i like them. haha....anyone can be an artist. it shows individualism and different views and angles of seeing things.
view from level 6 of ponpidou. the escalator outside the building takes you all the way to the top.
this is the building. very unique indeed. it is called the inside-out building because all the vents are outside.
see, all the vents are outside. the colours stand for different things- water, air, electric....and have forgotten one more.
this is called outgrowth. a world that is so sick with diseases.
nice wall paper eh??
check out all the faces you can see from this painting??
i love colours!!!
now now....what shall we call this ;P
and now shopping....yup, we went shopping again....i was actually running errands for people. wait lah....next post. haha....battery is running low. tatata for tonight.
