thanks to my ticket from www.concergerie.com, i had a breeze entering the louvre. the queue via the main gate, which is beneath the pyramid was long and it was sooo hot under the bright sun. we all had another entrance and the queue was short and fast. phew! shows that some homework helps.
well, this is the most popular gallery in the museum. overheard and american saying: 'there are so many other beautiful paintings in the hall, why is everyone so obsessed with this?'
the said painting is right at the end of the hall, behind a piece of glass.
non-other than mona lisa of course. i have to agree with the american. i know i know, napoleon is said to have fallen in love with the painting and it made his wife jealous and of course few other people too....
i like this photo..hahha.....
imitation is the best form of flattery.
in the hall of sculptures. they have a special exhibition by tony clagg now. the centre piece in black is by the featured artist. love his sculptures. abstract but yet so alive still.
aah.....a nice family album ;)
i conquered the louvre!!! we were there for a few hours. so much to see.
i prefer this wedding feast more than mona lisa. they are in the same gallery but at different ends. everyone flocked to mona lisa but i stood mesmerised in front of this. there is just so much to see in this one. well, to each his own i guess.
time to go out again. yesterday had a very tiring day hence no blogging.

I still prefer Mona Lisa because I find The Wedding Feast too crowded.I also like ur pose in front of those paintings at lourve. Such a beautiful reflection of u in green with the bee's waistline ! Taking food without rice is worth it eh ?
haha.....bee's waistline. i guess the form and structure of the green dress is flattering. in fact, i kinda wish it is tighter actually, haha....
