royal blue for me

time to reveal the bag .......drum roll please.

but before that...i was in two minds when i was at printemps. finally found the boutique and they had more bags than lafayette. the sales assistant at lafayette was a chinese speaking mandarin with us. the one at printemps was a parisian. lafayette is doing mainly chinese business while there are less chinese at printemps. phew! and the chinese mostly flock to gucci only, oh and of course louis vuitton.

while i was queuing at louis vuitton because i had to buy something for a friend, the rest went to find the boutique. after i queued for 30 mins outside lv, i was told they only had the ladies range there. all for nothing.

so i headed to the boutique and straightaway my friend showed me the bag i was looking for. she also wanted the same bag! damn! frankly speaking, if she ended up getting the bag first, i would not buy it. nope, i dun think i want to have the same bag after travelling half the globe searching for it.

luckily, she finally decided that she did not like how the bag drop on her and her husband was not going to pay for it, phew! so the single girl (me) forked out her own hard-earned money for the coveted piece in royal blue.

but another deciding factor was this:
aaaahhhhh!!!!!!!!!!! my mulberry alexa's handle!!! the stitching is coming off. i only noticed it when i was in the boutique. that made my decision making even faster. after buying the new bag, the mulberry is kept in the luggage. i am going to bring it to london and see what they say. they better mend it for me!

and leather care for the bag. phew....luckily they have it. i can't imagine searching for this in malaysia. i can also use it on my other bags.

and finally...............

my new balenciaga covered city bag in royal blue. yes, it is blue and not black. they only have 2 colours- this and white. at printemps, they have it in dark brown but i was not looking for brown bag. blue is actually the colour i have on my mind.

so in this picture, the bag is basking in versailles sunlight at king louis IV's garden in versailles palace.

what do you think? i love it! and this is the only leather bag i got here in paris. this is such a huge purchase that there is no way i can get another bag. ysl's bags ain't bad and there are not many chinese tourists checking out the store. hahha....another reason why you don't want to buy gucci and lv now. the chinese tourists! urrgghh....call me a snob, but i dun want to fight for the same bag with them in the shop. i like one of the ysl's bags i checked and it is even cheaper and slightly larger than this. if i did not get this balenciaga, i am sure i would have ended up with a ysl.

well, this is how it turns out and i am now the happy owner of the bag i fell in love with years ago. finally one dream comes true in paris.
