the holiday has begun!!

yabbbaaaaddaaaaabbbbaaadddooooo!!!!!
i have finished marking all the exam scripts allocated to me!!!

so the REAL holiday starts now!!! hehehehe.....
and to celebrate, i had a japanese pastry. i just had to publish it on facebook to get some envious comments by those who haven't finished marking. what a relief. i am really waaayyyy faster and ahead of schedule. thanks to the easy scripts i got too. bless me.

so now i have time to blog and pack and tidy things up. there is sooo much to tidy. i have left stuff here and there and everywhere telling myself that i will do it once i finish marking. so now i have no more excuse.

anyway, before i start tomorrow, let me just get rid of some photos in my handphone.
there is this batch of photos taken at akamomiji, a japanese restaurant in ipoh which i visited last thursday. this place was recommended by a colleague and 5 of us went there to try. not bad.
akamomiji means red maple in japanese.

the first starter dish- lou sang. you will have to order this dish first. they won't do it for you on the spot. the ingredients used were really fresh, hence it really opened up our appetites.

gyoza or dumpling. yummy. mouth watering now that i look back at the photo.

cucumber roll and.....hmmm...chicken ham something roll i think. the cucumber roll was so so. i prefer the one i had at oh! sushi, also in ipoh.

stir-fried seafood noodles. a very special dish indeed. kinda sourish but it suites the dish and our palates.

oyster omelette. i don't like the soggy oyster in the egg. yuck. not my type at all. those who like 'or chien' or oysters will like this one. but it is kinda oily as well.

soft shell crab maki....a must for me. my favourite soft shell crab!!

japanese pomelo sorbet. gosh, it is the best sorbet i have ever tasted!!!! the fragrant smell of pomelo blew us away before we could put the sorbet into our mouths. and when the sorbet melted, there is that sourish and slightly bitter taste which just blended perfectly. heavenly. definitely not too much for us even on a full stomach. perfect end to a good meal.
oh, the sorbet was free, from the boss. kakaaka...i talked him into giving it to us. not bad eh. ;D

and we got a private room too ;D
definitely worth going again since there are so many more things on the menu which are worth trying.

last week too i made a trip to gardens, mid valley on wednesday for late lunch.
it was the first time i had lunch at alexis bistro. it was just a trip for lunch for me, the others went shopping. and i also had the opportunity to drive a prius from toyota all the way to kl and back. what an experience. however, after that experience, it killed my  desire to get the car. it is ecomical on the fuel yes...but it is also slow to accelerate on the road and the booth is too small for me.
thank you but no thanks.

i had a duck dish but it was slightly too tough. the salad was good though. also ordered myself a piece of tiramisu since i have heard so much about their tiramisu. however, i was disappointed.  josephine's in ipoh has better one.

last but not least, my sister hates me for always comparing her son with baby shrek. but i really can't help it. the similarity is there right??

ok, time for some gossip girls now. till tomorrow.....i am so excited about thursday!!!!
