kobe, day 5. shopped and ate

ok....speed blogging again this morning before i leave on the shinkansen- bullet train to hiroshima. the ride on the bullet train will take me 90 minutes and i hope i will get a good nap in that 90 mins, i have to sleep!!! forget about reading newspaper!!! i bought 2 here, and have not touched one at all till now.
sleep!!!

it was very hot every night under the blanket, but if i kick it away, it is too cold. the duvet is just too thick!!!

the runny nose is getting better, well only one nose seems to have mucus while the other one is all dry hahahhaa.

okok....back to yesterday's trip. we went to kobe in the hope of doing a little sight-seeing in the city before heading to sanda premium outlet which is about 45 mins bus ride from the city.
however, a check at bus schedule made us board the bus straight away. so paid 650 yen one way for the bus ride and off we went.

we went to the shopping complex opposite the outlet to have lunch first. and after lunch, started shopping in the complex itself. lol.....it was just a shopping trip i told you yesterday. well, what better way to spend the day indoor when it was raining? goodbye yen!

my lunch set. beef and rice and soup.

the outlet is like any other outlet with boutiques all lined up and this is big. bigger than the one in bicester and they have bottega venetta. unfortunately for certain italian brands, of course getting them in the mall in florence is much much cheaper. so no italian leather bags for me. how sad ;(

dunno which entrance or side this is. but the open path was empty because it was wet and everyone walked along the corridor. i went around and passed every shop....just to make sure i did not miss any. lol. kiasu!

you can get some cheap things here though. just be selective and know what you want. i did not even go into gap. that would be a total waste of time searching through bundles of clothes which i don't need now.

ok, so here are the things i got and please don't judge me when you see the things.
i listened to my sister and got myself a thermos mug ;)
this is from nike and made by thermos.....and another  thing- made in malaysia! haha....we don't have this in malaysia and according to my friend, they sell it cheaper here with the discount. so worth it.

swatch ring. sakura! i think this is a super old design but it had 70% discount tag with it....done! about rm70.
swarovski!!! cheaper than the prices i saw online during sales because they had 60 to 70% discount. i wanted that wing ring last year but decided against it, and now i finally get it. that pendant and ear-ring set is only about rm350. i helped a friend get a brooch. it is really a beauty. if she does not want it, i will keep it ;)

levi's. not those thick denim type, but more like cottony type. and this is a little harem pants-like with carrot cut....dunno how to describe it. but will look really hip and street. haha....i hope i can carry the look.

bag....yeah, shake your head. a longchamp le liage cuir in pink. it is foldable and in full leather and it is cheap ok.
but....i got another bag after that in kobe city and have decided to let this go. so if you are interested in getting this bag, contact me and i will give you the price. trust me, this price will not be what you can get in malaysia. it is really soft and much much better and less common than the le pliage canvas that you see ubiquitous everywhere on the streets.

that's all the things i got at the outlet.

now to those things i got at the shopping complexes in kobe.
tvxy and shinee's albums. ok, they are korean pop groups. special requests from  the kids. they are cheap though. that special box set is less than rm150.

uniqlo cashmere muffler. i dun have one....so why not.

another hello kitty cushion for the car ;) shopping list complete. hahahha

this box of thing is called hokkairo. adhesive body warmer. once you stick that pad to your cloth and it mixes with oxygen, that pad will get warm and will help you stay warm. that is how ppl in japan stay warm in winter when they are outdoor. thought i would get a change to use it today in hiroshima as i will be outdoor most of the time, but a check at the weather made it unecessary. it is going to be warmer today.
maybe my grandfather will find it useful or i can keep it for another winter trip somewhere. no wonder those japanese girls can dress in short skirts without stockings on a cold day.

last but not least:

blueberry blue label bags, only available in japan.
the left one is ordered by a friend....the right one with the detachable strap......mine ;)
couldn't helped myself when i tried on the bag and saw how much it suited me. haha....if you dun want to get anything....better not try it on. learn this.
and this is the bag that makes me want to let go of the longchamp. what do you think??? i made the better choice???

meal time in kobe cannot be without kobe beef right???
so i went to the once recommended and it brought us to ikuta road, near sannomiya station.
it is a bustling street at night.

mouriya is the restaurant and i think they have few levels.

we sat on the ground level right in front of the cooking area. great....seeing how our beef is prepared.

the front piece is special kobe beef while the one behind is just kobe beef. seee how much fat and marbles the front piece has. well......i chose the special one. splurge!!!!

appetiser....raw fish i think....but din quite get the name. it is fresh and for a none-sashimi eater, i can take it.

our vege.

four spices...the garlic pieces were fried to perfection.....so crispy.

now you know why there are so many sauces.

i think we had about 8 piecs of these cut beef. i had sirloin steak, 150g and i was soooo full!!!!

mint at the end of the course.
i paid 9700 yen for my meal. do the calculation yourself.
the beef really melted in my mouth and i was thinking about dad when i was eating. i am sure he would love it sooo much!!!!

back to osaka after dinner and see how cold it was. everyone dressed the part now. no more short short skirt.

ok....chao....hiroshima, here i come.
