work away from work

three days of no work and just chilling out......what a bliss.....and it could be better if i had managed to get good night rests. haiz.......

just came back from attending three days of meetings at radius international hotel located at changkat bukit bintang. it is at the heart of the golden triangle and a perfect location for those interested to shop. my only complaint was the level of noise surrounding the area.

this is the room i got. my partner was an indian lady. our room was on the 7th floor. on the first night, i could hear music blaring from loudspeakers from the street level and then followed by noises from the construction of the new lrt line.

on the second night, it was surprisingly quiet to begin with. no disco music and construction noise was kept to a minimum. however, the peace did not last long. at about 3a.m. i heard cheering and applause from the street level. lo and behold, manchester united was playing real madrid and what an exciting match it was judging from the applause and cheers i heard. sigh....2 nights with no proper sleep. so i am counting on my own bed back in bidor to replace those missing hours of sleep.

the 5th level of the hotel where we had our breakfast in a cafe next to it. the food here was lousy so i chose to eat most of my meals outside whenever possible. who cares if i am eating alone, as long as i am eating well.

and the first meal i had outside was at klcc, which i went after i checked in. it was necessary to go to klcc since i needed to get my facial stuff and they had the rm10 cash voucher for every rm100 spent. so spent i did ;)
met an ex-student and my cousin there. managed to drag them to have dinner with me too, paid using my vouchers.

above was my tea...or late late lunch at chinoz, at the park. i love the ambience here and there was so many rich ppl to watch. those watches, designer bags, sunnies, etc hahahahahahaa

the first meeting only started at 8.30p.m. and tasted till 10 plus.

the next day, the longest break time was from 430 till 830p.m. off i went to look for my own activities to do.

to pavilion i walked and i nearly sprained my ankle when i missed a step. phew, nothing serious.
it was not a busy day at pavilion and many tourists there were from china and yes, they were loaded. saw them all in those expensive designer brands shops busy choosing clothes, bags, scarves and shoes.

i bought 3 macaroons from twg. i had seen photos of these desserts posted on facebook and thought i wanted to try to see if they were good.
i was disappointed. it was too thick, not light or fluffy enough and too sweet. it was rm4 for one if you want to know.

many ppl were seen drinking and enjoying their desserts here too. the pastries and pies looked yummy, but i am not sure how they will taste in the mouth though.
maybe next time, but definitely no more macaroons.

just walked aimlessly checking out new shops and stuff since i really had nothing to look for here.

saw this fountain at the new extended wing.

then i saw adidas originals store and in i went to check if they had anything new from the jeremy scott collection.
have loved his collection since it first began and have always wanted to have a pair of his wing sneakers. they are really cool in my opinion.

and so i tried on this pair which i liked. the staff was really friendly and we chatted quite a bit. this pair was 1/2 a size too big. they had 51/2 and 61/2. they ran out of my size which is 6. well, not that i am planning of getting a pair on that day. i just bought my pair of doc martens boots last year, so i don't need another pair of high top sneakers now.
this season's shoes are already priced cheaper than last season's so if anyone is planning to get, you should get it. the pair that i tried on is rm695.

then it was time to look for a place for dinner. couldn't take heavy one, so had to find a place which had lighter food.....and i reached galleria concept store. it is an eating cum gallery for local artists to display their work of art. a very interesting place.

i had vienna sausage and a glass of juice. light enough and my stomach growled at 11p.m. hahahaha.....

i bought some pastries from the loaf and a can of beer to help me sleep better. so i nibbled a little and downed that can of strong beer. gosh, it was strong. warmed my belly, it was bitter and strong. unfortunately, it only managed to knock me out for 2 hours and then i was wide awake again....listening to the sounds from the street level and guessing why everyone was cheering and applauding down there. all the ooohsss and aaahhhhhs.

it is back to bidor now. have been sneezing quite a bit typing this post. the weather is extremely hot. have washed my stuff, time to shower and say goodbye now.
