rome welcomed me with rain and milan sent me off with tonnes of snow.
as soon as day broke, snow floated down and coloured the city white. it was beautiful but not good for tourist. it was wet everywhere. so it was a dull day for us in the city.
this is the central train station...compare with the previous photo. umbrellas were out and hoods were up. boots too. it was slightly freezing and we had to hide our hands in our sleeves.
metro exit and the tram. i had been on both in milan.
loook at the snow in the park...knee high...so we only walked on paths which had been cleared.
the duomo again after the snow had turned into rain.
and with this photo, it is the end to the trip.
there are a lot of misses in rome. sigh...what does the pantheon look like? what is inside vatican museum? how many steps are there at spanish steps?
so i better start saving again for another trip to discover the jewels in rome. since it is not built in a day, i am sure i cannot finish exploring in a day as well.
and i am lucky i have missed the flood in rome and venice now. yes now, it is happening there. phew! i guess my rainy day in rome is ok compared to the flood now. have to count my blessings.
so ppl, italy is highly recommended. remember to call me as well if you wanna go...i wanna go too! ;)
