hohoho! merry christmas from germany. it is christmas eve now but the streets are all quiet and shops close the latest at 2p.m. today. everyone is going home to be with their family and have their dinner together and later attending midnight mass at the church. it is the tradition here and tomorrow, nothing will be opened. all peace and quiet...and no snow.it is wet and foggy outside.
this is what i have for lunch today. yummy sausages with curry ketchup. the fork and knife are only for decoration, i ended up finishing them with fingers. haha...easier.
this is the chocolate covered cream dessert that i wanted to try when i saw them at the christmas market. we bought one box of it today. very creamy and it is a bit sweet. one is enuf for me. i think uncle will finish the rest. haha...yeelin also had one.
and this is my christmas present from aunty aileen. so kind and thoughtful of her. everyone here has one gift. she is not having a good time this year with her husband being hospitalised few days earlier. hope things will be better for her in 2009.tonight, we are going to aunt friend's chinese restaurant for dinner...call it christmas dinner. it is going to be quite late though...9p.m. gosh...how is the food going to digest if i were to sleep at midnight? i definitely cannot resist the dishes placed in front of me. this is kind of like a celebratory meal. we also have our own christmas dinner. keep my fingers crossed that i will eat slowly and savour the dishes and not end up with a bloated stomach.
so merry christmas to all those who celebrate and happy holidays to those having a long break.
