flea- caught on camera

the search for flea on beanie is neverending. as long as he is scratching, then you know there are fleas on his body. this one above...eewwww.....i still feel itchy all over looking at it......was what i caught yesterday. this is the mother of all fleas i think. as big as a raisin. the other normal fleas are as small as ants. this one could be the female (??). and i caught 2 of them. it feels plasticky, not soft. on the right, is the result after i had pressed it in the newspaper. the amount of blood...ooh...gross. i am thinking twice about touching beanie now. not that i dun want to catch fleas on his body, but the gruesome find makes me twitch all over. who wanna help??

you're right. it's neverending trust me. dog without fleas is not a dog. and lemme tell you more. the big raisin like is not female. it's a different species distinct from the ant like. so far i only see these two types. and the ant like is the one who might be sticking people and in worst situation you'll see some crawling on the walls. it's agile and good in hiding. i've seen somebody shocked out of his pants only to find this small little thing sticking at his....

o just a little more. don't ever use pesticide type of solution to apply on your dog coz it's poisonous. i lost my dog last time coz he licked his body. use the spray alcoholic type which is safe even if he lick it. maybe will make him drowsy too..haha...and the necklace which i told you. the combination of these two is superb. the only i've seen in my life which could reduce the fleas to zero. a bayer product. quite ok. but i stopped using it liao coz quite expensive and since the problem has been solved. bout RM100 only la for both products. but if it happen again (fleas attack), i won't think twice using this method again.

That looks like a wood tick. They're blood suckers like fleas. Here's a blog more about them.http://lazy-lizard-tales.blogspot.com/2009/02/ticked-off.html
