granddaughter cum tourist

the trip to the hospital today was longer. hate the road congestions. there were just so many on so many stretches of road today. on the way there, and on the way back.

went to pick up cousin first, then only to the hospital. reached there after 11a.m. and did the admission procedures. grandpa got a single deluxe room at rm220 a night. initially, we wanted a single standard, but they were full (rm180). requested an extra bed for grandma, rm20 per day. the extra bed is cheap.

the ward is a very serene and quiet place. very comfortable too. grandpa's on the highest floor.

this is what you see as soon as you come out from the lift. turn right to go to grandpa's room.

the nurses' counter can be seen from grandpa's room.

grandpa on the bed there. he only sat there the whole day. we waited almost a whole day for the treatment to start. nurses came for blood pressure, blood test and urine test. doctor came in the afternoon too.....hehe..i was out at that time. opps. then he only got the injection he came for at 6p.m. i heard the doctor had to order from the pharmacy and waited for supply to come and stuff lah. so grandpa will get his shot every 12 hours, 6a.m. will be the next one. not painful one. the injected at the tummy area. then he had to take 2 tablets. he can eat anything he wants and we even packed his nescafe 3-in-1. i also bought egg tarts for them.

grandpa eating his porridge for lunch. lunch is served at 12noon while dinner is at 6p.m. not sure when they will bring breakfast. 8a.m.?? zhong told ah ma to pose for this photo.

toilet and bathroom. they provided shampoo, bath gel, toothpaste, toothbrush and comb. all for the patient.

on the left- ah gong's lunch. only enough for one person. they gave us a menu and we ticked the dishes we wanted. as for grandma's meal, we brought her down to the cafeteria to eat in the afternoon. for dinner, as she was not hungry yet, we tapau for her. tomorrow's breakfast already settled, i bought raisin buns for her and she would drink ah gong's cup of milo. guess what grandpa is having for breakfast? bread, butter, sausage, cucumber and tomato. haha...not bad eh? he also had a cup of milo and a piece of cake at 4p.m.

so tomorrow, wei and en will take over. good grandchildren too. they applied for leaves. told them to bring their notebook and i have passed my broadband modem to zhong. they won't get bored there. is zhong going again tomorrow? i wonder...he is going for the fooooooodddd.....haha....

not hospital's food of course. ok...now to our touristy story.
after getting grandma her lunch, we went to the golden triangle to loiter and find lunch.
we thought of lot 10 because it had been a long time since we last went. at first we checked out the much talked about rooftop, but eww....it was ugly. it was similar to the rooftop concept of hk's ifc mall, but lot10's version as bad. maybe at night under the lights it was different. but still, there was no view to see from the top and the grass was withering.
then we discovered lot 10 hutong....that was a gem. all sorts of chinese food were there and there were actually 20 stalls in that underground food court. you would be spoilt for choice. this is what attracting zhong to go again. haha.
we ordered lam mee, i had the original one while he had the chicken one. yumyum. we also had a plate of those fried dough fritters. also yum yum. we could not finish them and brought them back for ah gong and ah ma. ah gong did not take the rice served for dinner. he said too hard. so luckily we had snacks. ytl did a good job with this hutong. everything looked so tempting. i am sure aunt will love this place. they have popiah too.

then we decided to check out the christmas decorations in pavilion and act all touristy.

the fountain which has been installed earlier....for national day?

doing what any tourist would do....pose and take photo lah. this decoration looks real fake. but i am sure when it is dark, then it is different.

the entrance.

reindeers flying in da house.

something is missing this year. there is no centrepiece. i remember last year's big carollers' tree. there is no 'wow' this year.

there were quite a lot of ppl. there were sales but we did not really check them out.

well, i still managed to get something. nice or not??? padded puma jacket in rabbit gray colour. the price? rm100 only. about 70% discount i figure. well worth it. just not sure how many times i am going to wear it now. will definitely bring this to hk now.
i only reached home, tm at 9p.m. it took me one hour to send zhong back to his house in tmn tun.
