hospital=waiting

going to the hospital is quite a torture eh?
for the patient, waiting for the diagnosis might be the most anxious time...when whatever pain you feel finally has a name to it....i guess relief comes after that although it is still a sickness or disease.
for those who follows, it is the waiting time. it is always the waiting and waiting at the hospital. why ah? luckily there are friendly faces of the nurses to light you up. that is very important in a hospital.

for those who knew i was bringing grandpa to hospital, not to worry. it is nothing major but he still needs to be admitted for 2 or 3 days for injections according to the doctor. he has got a blood clot on one of the veins in his left leg. in other words, he has deep vein thrombosis (dvt).

we were at the hospital at 10a.m. and although the nurses said the doctor would come at 11a.m., he only came at 11.30. then he told us grandpa had to do ultrasound scan to check where the clot is, we went to the imaging dept. there, they told us we would only be able to do the scan at 2.40p.m.

we went to ss2 to visit a relative and had lunch there and went back to the hospital after that. we only managed to get a report of the scan at 4.45p.m. the doctor and nurses were all packing to leave already then. doctor said grandpa had to be admitted straight away if possible, but after much dilly dallying, we decided to admit only the next day because we did not bring anything. grandpa was not in much pain...just slight pain at his swollen foot, so not that serious lah.

reached tm at 7p.m.

tomorrow will be another day at the hospital. i can't just leave them there after registration in the morning right? but my brother and i have worked out a plan. i will be there tomorrow, he will be there on thursday. tomorrow i also have handsome cousin zhong to accompany me. he quit his internship after 5 days because the boss overworked him. so he wanted to go and hand in his resignation letter. we will find something to do. after all, golden triangle is just a stone's throw away. might bring grandma to see pavilion....if she is up to it.
