well, i have no choice but to put the title as such. this is afterall a trip made just for the concerts. if i had the time and money, i would have just be like those fans whom you all would call crazy and stay in hk till 4th jan and attend all her 10 shows. LOL. but i guess i am still rational lah and only stayed in hk for 4 days and attended her concerts on 24, 25 and 26.
this time around, i personally felt that it was not as good as the previous one. but those crazy fans would not care about any criticism i am sure. the show was kinda patchy with no real theme. but i had a feeling that she was trying to show ppl the paths that her life had taken from when she entered the entertainment field till now. it was sad too that i felt really excited only when i saw the guests she had on her shows. the guests were supposed to be the fruits on a beautiful cake (sammi said that in one of her interviews) but for me, i love the fruits more than the cake.
nonetheless, she really did give her best despite not feeling well on the first night. her fast songs segments were really high. but the slow songs were kinda boring as they were repetitive. i wished she would sing other songs from the many songs she has instead of us hearing the same ones which she had selected for her previous concert too.
the bonus of going to the first night was the handshaking session. today she is going to have her 5th show, so i am keeping my fingers crossed that there will also be no handshake session...ok...i am BAD. she did not have handshake for the 2nd, 3rd and 4th. hahaha...
and oh, of course i managed to shake her hands....she really took time to squeeze the palm this time around and it was not done in a rush kinda manner. i even managed to give her a shirt i prepared specially for her. wakakaka...so the first night was really memorable for this part. whatever i wanted to give her, was given on the first night. my mission of giving her presents was accomplished...but pssst...shh.....with the help of her sisters who were sitting in our block. haha...poor sisters. but they were really supportive sisters. jumping and cheering harder than other fans there. her family was there every night. that was sooo cool.
the concert took about 2 hours and 30 mins. we had a reunion with a singaporean fan and went for late or...christmas supper in tsim tsa tsui after that. too bad there was no christmas countdown in the concert or much christmas atmosphere. she sang all i want for christmas is you and last christmas with her guest, hanjin.

my flight to hk was delayed for about 40 mins as the flight waited for 25 other guests who were connecting their flight on this plane to hk. they all came from america. my guess was the extreme weather there that delayed their take off. anyway, the flight was good...food was good and i had a hard time stuffing myself. i used 1 hour to finish my meal. i had mcdonalds breakfast before boarding the flight. glutton me.
i had omelette with potato and sausage while chingching had nasi lemak. my asparagus and beans were too dry.
and the flight had an over-polite stewardess. she started most of her 'no' replies to guests requests with 'i am sory.....' and ended it with 'thank you for your understanding'. well, it would be ok if i heard that once, but unfortunately i had to listen to that like about 10 times in a span of minutes. she was talking like a robot there. it was funny though thinking about it.
we met rachel, our friend from singapore at the airport too and headed to take the airport express train to kowloon station where they provide free shuttle bus services to the main hotels.
the hotel which we stayed in- harbour plaza metropolis, which is just opposite coliseum in hung hom, the location of the concert. so it was very convenient getting back every night.
we got ourselves a one-bedroom suite and chingching volunteered to sleep on the sofa couch. bless her kind soul. it was a very comfortable suite with a tiny kitchen. the sheets and quilt cover was sooo comfy.
bottom left, coliseum. on the bottom right, hung hom train station.
we reached our hotel at around 4p.m. dang....we should have gone straight to the coliseum and waited outside like all other fans. they saw sammi came out for the prayer session they had and she actually walked towards them to take some gifts they brought. i only knew about that after watching entertainment news today. no wonder we saw quite a few flash lights from the fans cameras from the hotel room.
anyway, we went down at around 5.30p.m. and joined the queue that had formed outside the stadium for the merchandise they had for her concert. the organiser really know how to milk fans' money. those merchandise are soooo expensive.
i had to join the queue because i wanted to get my hands on the limited edition hello kitty crossover doll specially made for the concert. there was only 500 pieces available. of course i got mine..at 7.30p.m. so i was in the queue for 2 hours!
this doll is called hello mi, and its number is 023/500. i think they gave out the numbers randomly. i was not that front in the queue.
love mi watch. hk$580. winsome's order.
love necklace. hk$450 also winsome's.
3 hope boxsets which include the new book by sammi, cd, dvd, lyric book, bookmark, postcards, photo album, stickers and a necklace. the boxes were huge and heavy. luckily the hotel was just opposite the stadium and we walked back to dump them down. i did not know what we would have done if we had stayed somewhere else. they did not give you bags too to put the things. well, it was understood as they were selling a love mi pvc bag carrier at the venue.
the concert started at 8.50p.m. although the time stated on the ticket wsa 8.30p.m. it was full house...well for all 10 shows. we met some familiar faces and it was sort of like a reunion. haha...
also met some new fans....and a few that we asked actually bought tickets for all 10 shows. rich or what? and most of them are from mainland china.
everyone receives 2 plastic tubes which you can blow up and they become the banging sticks. these were loud man. and young or old, they were all hyped up.
the concert started with sammi coming down from a platform singing a fast song. that was sort of anti-climax.
does this picture make it look like i was sitting at the front row? dream lah. luckily my old camera is still serving me well.
this is the attire i hate most. black shaggy wig and gold props which i dun understand what for.
but her costumes this time were sexier and more feminine. i like.
singing cheung han goh.
60s disco session. there is one song i din know....and that is the song i love most here. she sang all english songs here and most of the fans here dunno these songs. they only stood up and shouted but no one sang along.
her faith session. singing with 24 herbs. this is the part where she sang songs from her new album faith, a gospel pop album. she is donating all profits made from the album to 2 charity organisations. one is doctors without border and the other is a kid charity i think.
and tada...guest for the first night- the one and only ANDY LAU. the crowd went crazy when he came out. even those aunties rushed to the front. he looked thin and old though.
another of my favourite segment...all fast songs. the dancing here is like aerobics. nike sponsors the clothes here.
this is the coat missing in all other shows. woohoo!! she put the furry coat over her sporty attire and announced the handshake session.
only took this photo after she shook my hand. i think the rings belong to her sister and mi was shaking their hands here. yup, managed to rush to the front....actually i squeezed my way to the front during the fast songs and i stayed there. i guessed it would be handshake based on her attire. she had to be clothed comfortably to move around.
the last segment for the night. a medley of slow songs.
the feather at the back of the skirt has the words 'love' and 'mi'. she only wore black boots throughout the show. oh, and nike sports shoes.
another guest, hanjin, a singaporean composer. they sang last christmas and all i want for christmas is you. sammi was super flirtatious here.
2 lucky fans who got invited to take part in the song battle competition. haha....the better one will get a watch sponsored by philip stein. the other will get a hope boxset autographed by sammi. the boy from sichuan, china got the watch.
fans refused to leave after the concert was over. they kept shouting her name. and she had to caome out and sang a song without music. well, it was kind of her to come out and further entertain us. and for this...she rocks la. the concert ended at 11.15p.m.
met another fan from singapore and we decided to send him back to his hotel in tsim tsa tsui and go for supper first.
we ended up in tsui wah, one of hk's popular cafe restaurant. the mtr did not stop operating that night. what convenience.
these are what we had. i had the bowl of fish soup with fish ball, squid balls, fish rolls, and forgot what the other fishy thing is called.
we only went to bed at 4a.m.
