not a bad attraction in yunnan

this place is not such a bad attraction in yunnan because, for those who have been to guilin, the cave and view here are incomparable to those in guilin. it did not stir much excitement nor awe in me but i still appreciated what nature has to offer and how the chinese government make these places accessible to the public and how organised things are done. you really have to give it to them.

first we were taken for a short boat ride...really short...just a distance of about 300metres and then it was uturn back to the small pier.

the above is the kind of view you get to see lah....

then from the pier, we made our way to the caves. those who are not healthy, have a choice of hiring a portable sedan chair on their way out- at a price. the way out after mid-way is a lot steeper and there are lots of steps. if you want to be carried all the way in, you can too.

my camera ran out of batter here actually and i had to nick the photos taken in the cave from other ppl. but they also did not take many since most photos that come out will be quite blurry due to the bad lighting.

pretty eh?? only these pools managed to get a thumbs up from me.
well, and the big chamber here as well.

so after the walk in the caves, it was cable car ride. it was really scary to some but it was real good fun for me.

definitely not for those who have fears of height. one of those in our group closed his eyes all the way right till the station. yes, it was a man.

i think i have injected some adventurous spirit in this kid. haha....he made his own decision for the first time while shopping for a pair of shoes in kunming without his parents....well, that was because he chose to go with me and leave his parents to shop. then he got adventurous in the ancient city of li jiang while we were lost in the maze of lanes and insisted not to look for the map but just walked on to wherever the path led us to. ahem....i was the first one who said to be adventurous as we were making our way in to the city.
well, was kinda proud of him and proud of myself too. ;)
