this is just going to be a short one.
was not really keen on exploring the food there....but my mouth watered when i thought of all the authentic indian food i could get there.
i dunno why, i always had the best indian food when i was away from malaysia. the first time was in paris, of all places. so when i knew fiji has a large indian population, i was already anticipating some mouth-watering fragrant indian food going down my tummy. my mouth still waters as i think of them.
as i did not explore far from denarau, hence, it was all established restaurants' food, but they were good nonetheless and at reasonable prices i guess.
ok first up- indian food. yummy.
all the above were consumed at indigo, port denarau. it is about 15 minutes walk from the hotel. love the briyani, love my curry crab!!! the crab was huge!!! love the seafood malabari.....everything!!!!
had lots of mocktails and cocktails when we were there too.
dinner at nuku, the hotel's restaurant. more cocktails.
celebrated linsiew's birthday at salt, sofitel hotel. the lamb was awesome. we also ordered beef, fisherman's basket, calamari and sorbet. the sorbet sucked.
lunch at nuku. the pizza was really good. caesar salad with poached egg and thai beef salad.
chicken express, their version of kfc. those chips there, they were taro (yam) chips. quite dry and tough. the chicken was all right.
another indian meal. this time buffet spread. papadom, tandoori chicken, roti, pumpkin curry, fish curry, dhal.
i love indian food!!!
i guess we were not that adventurous with food there. it is better safe than sorry. i was not interested to try fiji food because many would have coconut milk as the ingredient and i am not a fan of coconut milk. in the end, it was still indian food that satisfied my hunger.
