day 3 seoul, part 1

an-nyoung....
it is 3.30p.m. now and i am resting at the hotel. we are waiting for jun, our korean friend and guide to go pick up his car before doing further exploration.

we have visited hongdae area famous for its entertainment and clubs earlier. so i am going to share some photos here before my ride comes. thanks to fast internet, loading photos is a breeze.

the street and what was left of yesterday's snow.
this is the thickest layer of untouched snow i could find at a park. it was still soft and fluffy.

hongdae area is really vibrant with the young crowd and of course there are shops, coffee shops and clubs scattered everywhere. the youth came out at noon and flooded the area.

we had lunch at one of the noodles shop.
dumplings.
seafood noodles sichuan style.

inside the restaurant.

my ja jang mien- bean paste noodle. it is sweet with some cabbage. this is the most basic one...it is not bad.
this is how it looks like before i mix everything together.

we had a walk around the area and jun took us to the place where they filmed the famous korean series- coffee prince. this place has become a tourist haunt. we see lots of japanese and taiwanese here but no korean.

i am not that familiar with the series although i know of its existence...

autograph of the main actress.

had some coffee and a piece of cake...to escape from the cold. could not really stay too long outside. felt like the nose is going to break into pieces anytime soon because it has become so stiff.

street of hong dae area....very popular with the young crowd.

celebrity spotting. up and coming hip-hop group MIB. ok, i did not know they were mib till the pr person shouted welcome mib. haha...then we googled him on the phone. many ppl were taking photos and videos of them, hence i did the same ;)

our christmas present from jun- ear mufflers. i got the black one as my coat is black. well, they do keep my ears really warm....now if only they have the same thing to keep my nose warm.

well, that is all for this afternoon. there will be more later tonight.

Hey Nice blog with various leisure centers at Hongdae. I would like to know the opening hours of restaurant where you eat the dumplings.
